Title: My GF gave me her gamegear!
Post by: Wilhelm on January 10, 2011, 10:03:54 pm
This is a surprise to me...
My girlfriend's brother owned a game-gear, he left it with my gf after he got bored of it, and she kept it, up til now, and gave it to me, full of multiple sonic games, and..others I haven't seen it all yet I've been tinkering with the screen..

Does anyone know a fix for the common problem of the screen crapping out?
Julie claims if you wack it, it does work...Which makes me think it's a loose connection.

Well it is nice to have a game gear, I used to play one back in the day.

Google is your friend, when it comes to those mod problems.

I don't think I've put batteries in my Game Gear in like 10 years. If I ever play I just use a power-cord and play at home.

6 rechargeable AA batts and a 6 aa battery charger does the trick. Plus, with the advances in battery technology, what was once 2 hours in the 90's is now 4-5 hours! So it's not that bad.

bonus: buy another 6 rechargeables for use in your Nomad, and rotate them in the charger.

Mine is busted screen me thinks, I have not used it in like 8 years though. Thinking of getting a newer one, mint as chips to start reviewing gamegear stuff on the site.

Mint as chips, I like the sound of that.
