Early impressions with details have been pretty terrible. GameCube version of Sonic Adventure and no widescreen or any kind of online features, Crazy Taxi's music is different (heard some of the lyrics are like 'IM JUST A GIRL, WOOOOOAAAAOOOOH') and the stores like KFC are gone, no word on Crazy Box, either.

I guess at the worst, on the Xbox 360 version of Crazy Taxi you can put the real music in it, but KFC will be missed, and PlayStation 3 players are fucked.

Crazy Taxi on the PSP allows custom soundtracks, why the hell wouldn't the PS3 version?

Sonic Adventure we already knew for AGES that it wasn't going to be widescreen. And seriously if that's a major complaint of anyone, then this certainly isn't the game for them (cofHORRIBLEcofCAMERAcof).

Btw, is that No Doubt's I'm Just a Girl?? Cause if it has No Doubt and say.. Garbage or Blur as soundtrack it would be a fucking great improvement over Bad Religion.

KFC must not be the only one.. What about FILA? and that Record Store?

I'm sure all the licensed ones would be gone, Offsping will be dearly missed, they were so iconic of that game. I can't picture playing Crazy Taxi without 'All I want' blaring in the background.

I might still get CT if Crazy box is still there. If Crazy Box is missing then...

Fuck.
You.

It's nice to hear that Offspring and Bad Religion are gone.

So what online features would you want from Sonic Adventure?

No Offspring and Bad Religion = no buy. (assuming this is true)

I can't believe some folks are happy to see the original game getting butchered!

.

I do like the All I Want song. There was nothing sweeter than booting up Crazy Taxi on your Dreamcast and hearing the "Yah Yah Yah Yah Yah"

I will personally send the original Crazy Taxi soundtrack to any SEGAbits member with a 360. I don't like to see fans suffer.

Okay, for the sake of legal reasons, I'm joking. But... ;)

But I won't buy this anyway. My Dreamcast is 30cm away from my PS3 so... :P
But it would be awesome if more people would get to play the game! I hope it's a direct port of the DC version.

It is complete bullshit about Crazy Taxi's music and it is clear to me whoever is running the project never cared about the game to begin with.

The "YAH YAH YAH YAH YAH YAH" at the beginning of the game is literally iconic and cannot be replaced in any form at all. It cannot even cost much to get their money, either, seriously. It is incredibly annoying I need to edit the game myself for me to even enjoy it much at all... Fuck.

This is like when they took the "BLOOOOP" sound out of Sonic's jump, then gave it exclusively to Amy in Sonic Heroes, then it was never heard again. Seriously, even if people who have only ever had a passing interest in a game and have not even played it for over ten years and can instantly identify that something is wrong, you fucked up bad.

You guys will not buy a game that offers custom soundtracks because it does not have shitty Bad Religion or Offspring?

Here I was planning on turning them off. I dislike their music.

Losing the licensed stuff doesn't faze me that much.  The soundtrack was really memorable, but after a while I turned it down because it got grating.  As for the stores, I'm not that into product placement to begin with.  Tower Records went out of business so obviously that'll be gone.  And if companies like KFC are no longer willing to pay for their product placement, screw 'em.  The game is what matters, and having it in HD is gonna be great.  The original version remains pretty easy to obtain anyhow.

I do hope we get custom soundtracks.
I put Wip3out's music on Wipeout HD. It's freaking great. I love when they allow you to do this. And since I've imported almost my entire CD collection to the PS3, I'd like to take advantage of that!
(offtopic: have you noticed that when you insert a Sega Saturn game in your PS3 not only it let's you import it's soundtrack but also fetches the name of most famous games? It's pretty nice..)
