It's definitely bigger than PSP, PS Vita, and Switch so if you think PSP is too small may be Steam Deck will fit for you.

That is quite big...
Well.. Archie Sonic definitely wasn't but Fleetway Sonic could be. Still Fleetway Sonic have a long way to be king, what he said were often kinda harsh and pulled no punches.

Yeah StC Sonic was a bit of an ass at times.
Head of Sonic Team, Takashi Iizuki, Shares Grim Prediction for Pixel Art

To me, that's like saying "2D animation doesn't have a long term future in the animation business". There will still be games that will choose the artstyle because they will feel it best fir for the game.
Take pizza tower for example, it looks like it was made in MSPaint, yet for some reason it became crazy popular!

I think he meant for their main games which are sold in retail with $40 or $60 tag price.
If it's digital games, SEGA's still producing 2D games but definitely with pricing that a lot cheaper than that.

Iizuka: Sonic Generations Not A Blueprint For Sonic Superstars Gameplay

Quote
"When you play Sonic Superstars or another of the classic games, there is not really a main route to follow.
You will have all these branches and paths opening up and you will find numerous ways to complete a level.
These massive maps are really a core element of the classic games and they do not exist in the same way in the modern Sonic formula."
Given that Iizuka has spoken openly and positively about Sonic Team's work with Evening Star in the past (the developer behind Sonic Mania) - including stories ...

Closer Look of NINE ~

Quote
After buying Mister Doctor Eggman a few weeks back, I saw Nine today and wanted to pick him up but felt silly owning half the wave. So in for a penny, in for a pound!
The detail on these is crazy good, and the articulation is pretty great.

Sonic The Hedgehog took over an entire Japanese airport last week!

Quote
The event was covered on both the Asahi and Mainichi Shimbun websites, with plenty of photos and video to go around. I think it's because of what was regarded as "attitude" by British standards at the time, thus being an asshole.

I did like that kind of attitude since it's always making me chuckle when reading it.
He's still kinda like that, but thankfully only to Eggman and enemies, not to Tails.
