Could be seen that way. Something that King Athur will approve.

But the truth is they were all already merged into the big SEGA Europe, I'm just focusing on the "without the of word" naming.

Or the new  "Battleborn" or "LawBreakers" which flopped almost immediately, who knows.

I only heard of Battleborn by name but not Lawbreakers.
In short term just like usual Mario will win, but in long term Sonic could win after huge and heavy discounts.
Just like old times.

It's because Battleborn got so much advertising to hype the game before it launched.

Just like old times.

The advantage Sonic now has over Mario is ... his games are multiplatform.

You did know that your country has a history invading our land and colonizing us back then, right?
Under the leadership of Sir Thomas Stamford Bingley Raffles, Indonesia underwent many changes, including abolishing monopoly and slavery, and dividing the Java island into 16 residencies.

I don't feel bad about Battleborn's failure. Battleborn was made by Gearbox afterall, the developer who stole SEGA's money to make Alien Collonial Marines (but they use most of it to make their own game Borderland instead).

If it's any...or none consolation... Britain colonized and screwed up a lot of countries.

So no brand new Sega games for awhile?
...
Or at least any revivals?

Yeah, still most British / Dutch / Portuguese that I met at least knows their country's dark history.
The one who didn't was from Japan.
Most Japanese youngsters weren't aware of the Japanese invasion of Indonesia since the government has erased some of their dark history from school's teaching.

Weeeelll.... There's a revival but it's not the one most SEGA fan expected.
The last game of the franchise was released in 2008, so this sequel could be considered as revival.

The British Empire was... something.

It was like what the Phoenicians did, trade routes and colonies... then it became twisted, bloody and underhanded along the way it went a bit Roman Empire. I know all countries, especially Indonesia, suffered quite a bit, but I think Africa and China had it worse (probably wrong, I only have rough knowledge on the British Empire history.)

I mean, the Natural History Museum in London has a lot of treasures they've taken during the British Empire. Some countries have asked for their stuff back, the museum's answer is "We're not done looking at it."

China used to have a monopoly on Britain over resources, engineering, transportation, silk and chinese tea. I think there was also the expenses importing it over to Britain. So they turned it around by introducing opium to the country. They used actual addiction to cripple them in debt to keep the tea going.

But you gotta admit, while not without bloodshed, the British Empire didn't need a global war to establish itself. If anything it was World War 1 and 2 that ended the British Empire given Britain suddenly grew a consciolus and wanted to help other countries than just move into them like an unwelcomed uncle.

Do you mean what I've been called the "Sega Renaissance" Such as Alex Kidd, Streets of Rage 4, House of the Dead and the other new remakes?
