Timeline affects the story.
Take example for Spwan x Batman crossover.
This was where Batman's still bitter & gloomy and never had a partner.
His attitude towards Spawn could be different if he met him after he had Robin as his sidekick.
Yeah, but unless DC themselves ask the artist to emulate an art style in order to be canonicalized onto a specific Earth/continuity, crossover comic projects usually allow the writers and artist to establish their own settings for a continuity exclusive to the crossover, and usually they go with the basics or whatever's needed, like making Batman go it alone when he was against Spawn.
Why would they learn if it's printing money.
They only get money if enough people are bothered to buy it. But if they keep it on exclusive platforms not enough people can buy it!
Based on history, Sonic Origins didn't offer any discount to customers who already got Sonic CD.
Sonic 1,2,3&K I understand since they're different (the existing ones were just roms, Origins version were remake), but Sonic CD on Steam was the same as it is in Origins.

Well, Sonic CD is... well, I dunno if age of the game excuses it. I didn't know they sold the same game twice over it... but I think I did hear some controversy over it.
Rumour said the Shadow content alone could be sold as a full game if SEGA wanted to but they decided to bundle it with Generations.
If it's true then this meme is incorect :

Well, if there is enough original content to be sold as a game of it's own then that be cool! But if compared to Sonic Generations itself it makes up 10-25% of new content over old content I still don't feel like buying the same game twice.

And then when another writer came up, they then make a story that's treating as if the crosover story before didn't happen.
I hate when they're doing this but like you said the comic company did allow the writers and artist to establish their own settings for a continuity exclusive to the crossover.

Not really, they could get more money from the platform holder too.
That's why Yakuza series were released in XBox before (after years staying as Playstation-only exclusive) and became free for GamePass subscribers.

It also would have been worse too ... they'll delist the original Sonic Generations like how they already delisted Sonic CD, Sonic 1,2,3&K on Steam.
That would make the modding community furious again since we know there are so many for Sonic Generations.

Paramount is expected to run Super Bowl spots for “Knuckles” TV Series and more this Sunday.

In the game of football, possession is everything.
When it comes to this year’s Super Bowl, one studio will dominate the field by running nearly a dozen spots for its upcoming and existing releases. Paramount is expected to unveil ads for the post-apocalyptic horror prequel “A Quiet Place: Day One,” the reggae biopic “Bob Marley: One Love” and “IF,” the live-action fantasy comedy directed by John Krasinski and starring Ryan Reynolds. The studio’s outsized presence makes sense because the big game will air on CBS, a sister company of Paramount.
Paramount will loom large over the ...

And then when another writer came up, they then make a story that's treating as if the crosover story before didn't happen.
I hate when they're doing this but like you said the comic company did allow the writers and artist to establish their own settings for a continuity exclusive to the crossover.
Probably because they figure it be a one-off at the time. That or the heroes do acknowledge the crossover just don't see the need to bring it up.

I mean, how often does Batman deal with colourful superheroes on a regular basis? Especially those that can bend reality.
Not really, they could get more money from the platform holder too.
That's why Yakuza series were released in XBox before (after years staying as Playstation-only exclusive) and became free for GamePass subscribers.

But wouldn't that limit the paying customers?
It also would have been worse too ... they'll delist the original Sonic Generations like how they already delisted Sonic CD, Sonic 1,2,3&K on Steam.
That would make the modding community furious again since we know there are so many for Sonic Generations.
That would piss them off. Not only that but it wouldn't excuse those who already own Sonic Generations. Just because it's delisted, Sonic CD is still in my Library, as well as Sonic 1, 2 and 3&K in MD&Gen Classics.

Sonic's Tubbz Collection Has Doubled In Size Via New Mini Tubbz

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXxjkLtOHjA

Quote
Every Sonic Tubbz now has a miniature version, and some of the original collection has been re-released.
Mini Tubbz are identical to their bigger siblings in every way other than size. Well, maybe not identical. A couple of the designs are slightly different. Shadow's Mini Tubbz figure, for example, isn't holding the Master Emerald like the regular-sized one. Sonic's Mini Tubbz figure is also a little different as it doesn't have ...

Probably because they figure it be a one-off at the time. That or the heroes do acknowledge the crossover just don't see the need to bring it up.

I mean, how often does Batman deal with colourful superheroes on a regular basis? Especially those that can bend reality.

If the ending treats it as a one-off at the time then it's good, but some gave hints for the next things without any follow ups ever.
Acesss was the most popular example.

But wouldn't that limit the paying customers?

Sometimes customer don't want buy certain games but they would play it if it's being offered free in their subscribtion plan.
And the money the publisher got was a lot compared to if the game's just being sold stand alone.
Of course this platform holder has got to be big enough to have very lot of subscribers (GamePass, Apple Arcade, and Netflix fulfil this criteria.)

That would piss them off. Not only that but it wouldn't excuse those who already own Sonic Generations. Just because it's delisted, Sonic CD is still in my Library, as well as Sonic 1, 2 and 3&K in MD&Gen Classics.

Yes, they are still in my library too but no new buyers would make their Steam communities dry.

What is an echidna? But a miserable pile of secrets!
