Paramount postpones Sonic the Hedgehog 2 release in Russia

The offensive drew widespread condemnation from the international community. Paramount’s competitors, Walt Disney, Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures all announced plans earlier this week to pause theatrical distribution in Russia.
Paramount gave no word about a new release window, though the company said they will continue to “monitor the situation.”

I've heard of this and honestly, I find it kind of unfair and pointless.

Not all Russians are pro-war, there has been large protest groups in Moscow calling out against Putin's decisions, with some Russins wanting Putin put out. Of course, their protests are in absolute vein given the only attention Putin is giving them is the police to arrest them.

Why should Putin care for Sonic's upcoming movie? Maybe he will watch it on KimCartoon while he's plowing Kyiv.
