The designer poured their heart into it, except an incredible amount of talent. It is not just a money grab but a project of love. They worked on something they really wanted to work on and not just had to because of "work". And that is the result. I love it.

Fans noticed this game takes place somewhere called the "Flower Kingdom". To me, that means either of two things:

1. Princess Daisy's origin story will be retcon. She will no longer be the princess of Sarasaland, but the princess of Flower Kingdom. That or Sarasaland is part of the Flower Kingdom.

2. Prince Haru will be made canon and be Princess Peach' betrothed, ultimately c0ck-blocking Mario after all he done for her.

You sure know Mario's lore more than I do.
I didn't know Princess Haru until you mentioned it.
I may have lots of Mario games (Olympic series mostly) but I only knew a little about him.
