The collection from the Japanese developer Edia features four "high-quality" ports of classic Telenet Japan games, including Granada (1990), Gaiares (1990), Avenger (1990), and Psychic Storm (1992).
The ports of Granada and Gaiares are based on their Sega Mega Drive releases, while Avenger and Psychic Storm are based on their TurboGrafx-CD versions.
The collection is priced at $44.99 on the North American eShop and £37.79 on the UK store, which is fairly steep when you consider it's roughly the same amount that Limited Run Games was charging for ...

Happy 20th Birthday, Sega Ages 2500 Series Vol. 5: Golden Axe (PS2)! 🎂

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Sega Ages 2500 Series Vol. 5: Golden Axe (PS2).
This game is a remake of the original 1989 arcade release of Golden Axe, presented entirely in 3D.
It is mostly the same game as before, but now features cutscenes, magic which regenerates slightly after an enemy is killed, and enemies now have life bars.
It also has an arranged soundtrack.

Happy 20th Birthday, Sega Ages 2500 Series Vol. 4: Space Harrier (PS2)! 🎂

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Sega Ages 2500 Series Vol. 4: Space Harrier (PS2).
This game is a remake of the original 1985 arcade release of Space Harrier, namely one which replaces the scaled 2D sprites with 3D textured models.
It tweaks some of the levels, remixes the music and adds a lock-on feature similar to Panzer Dragoon, but is otherwise mostly the same game.
"Fractal" mode removes the checkerboard floors and replaces them with more realistic scenery.
