Finally SEGA's getting around to monetizing their 32-bit era games.

From the looks of things it's probably an upscaled port of the PS2 version from a few years back. Guaranteed day one buy for me :).

It says my comment is awaiting moderation. I'll post this here instead.

This looks like it’s a port of the PS2 version.

If it is, it should have a stick sensitivity option. That version of the game didn’t feel right.

If Christmas Nights is coming (DLC or not), it shouldn’t be gimped like it was on the PS2 version (no Sonic, for example). It didn’t have a “Saturn version” as well.

The music loop played right after the level select sounds awkward. It sounds like a fifth of a second was chopped off or something. (Yes, this is nitpicking)

And last, but not least, there was no 2 player mode on the PS2 version, put that stuff back in.

I hope whoever is working on this at Sega is aware of the problems. I’m looking at you nightsintodreams.com.

Unnecessarily excited for this. It does look exactly like the PS2 version, though. I only played that on emulator, so I won't judge the quality of the port. This bodes well for future Saturn ports, let's see Burning Rangers get its damn due now.

PS2 port was pretty good, though it felt a little odd playing it on a Dualshock.

This is going to be so, so awesome.

My body was not ready for this... I'll come back tomorrow and give my 2 cents on the matter.

This is fantastic news! I've always wanted to experience the original NiGHTS game. Can't wait to play this classic!

Does anyone else think Achievements are really going to positively impact this game? In other remakes, Achievements often detract from the experience, because they distract you from various plot/design/minutiae that make the game really great. For NiGHTS, though, gameplay is really all you have, other than the A-Life, so I'm really excited to see if they come up with some creative achievements. I'd love an achievement for creating every type of Pian, for example.  Or avoiding the Egg Clock for x number of minutes.  I just hope there's not another stupid "submit a leaderboard score" achievement on this one...

I'm glad that they added a Saturn mode like Dynamite Deka for PS2. Now I don't have to ask my uncle for the game or the Saturn after it stopped working since 2001.

@SaturnineNights:

I'm pretty sure they'll be something along the lines of
- beat each level
- get a certain rating in each level
- beat the game

Nothing too crazy.

Really cool news, I'm glad to see more and more games making to the Sega Heritage line. Hope to see more Sega Saturn games make the jump.

Any news on whether they will release a Vita version like JSR? I am hoping that's the case personally.

If not, I will be happy to add it to my SEGA XBLA collection.
Big fan of Claymore, Miria in particular.
