She was in the game sprites, but her first artworks of her in Mega Drive cover and manual book is depicting her with blonde hair.

Oh dear, how inconsistant.

I always regarded the "team colours" as:
Ax Battler = Blue
Tyris Flare = Red
Gillius Thunderhead = Green

So it would make sense if Tyris had more warmer colours in her design scheme.

Then again, she wears a bikini in battle. It doesn't evne look like bikini armour.

May be that's why the reason they changed it in Beast Rider.
The thing is ... her new clothes wasn't iconic.
Red and white bikini may be silly, but they were iconic, catchy, and memorable.

I guess so, but could perhaps be redesigned to have more of an Amazonian look.
I mean, she was likely based on Red Sonja in design and Sonja had armoured bikini as well.

The real Amazonian looks wouldn't using armour (other than some horse riding armies).
They use normal light clothes whih made them agile and easier to move/run.

I also heard they cut out on of their breast in order to improve their archery and, similar to the Spartans, they discard and abandon their children born male.
