Ignore the haters, this is a really awesome set. The prequels look amazing in HD, the originals look the best they ever have and the special features are very in depth.

I picked up Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters (for some mindless co-op fun), and Shadows of the Damned at the Blockbuster going out of business sale yesterday.

I also snagged the new album from the Kooks at HMV.

My last big purchase of the month, I caved and picked it up in Amazon's limited 56% off deal:

I said to myself "You idiot, you already bought Star Wars!" but then I also said to myself "It's a great deal, and you've always wanted a TMNT hat... it is getting cold out."

Maybe I'll make use of it by hosting a pizza party at our place while the first two films play. Cowabunga!

I'm trying to save up as much money as possible for when I go to Youmacon. Going to stores is somewhat painful when doing this with all the temptation going on.

Spent $44 to send in my dead laptop motherboard in to a guy who refurbs them. I already bought a new laptop to replace it but it would be a shame to loose a cheap to fix laptop. I plan to use it as a media server.

Blockbuster dropped their prices to 70% off, so I picked up the final season of 24, and Shoot 'Em Up on Blu-ray.

Ordered the scratch remover from Ebay. And also bought a new XML book, the one I've been using is OK to get started but honestly, is nothing more than very short references. OK for begginers, but for programmers I need something with a lot more meat.

Nice. I picked up three of the Universal Monster Legacy collection DVDs from the Universal store, they're like $11-14 each and have the full series for each monster. I went with the big three: Dracula, Frankenstein and Wolf Man. They also had Mummy, Invisible Man and Creature from the BLack Lagoon... but those aren't all too exciting to me. Especially Invisible Man, which is a pretty weak "monster".

Also picked this up from Wal-Mart for $34:

Every Halloween I try to get one horror franchise on DVD. Two years ago it was Nightmare on Elm Street, last year it was a lot of the Full Moon Pictures movies and this year it's Jason + Universal Monsters.

Also, I stuck the mask on my Homer doll:

I got Dracula for a 1$ on the supermarket chain.

I went back there today and got two movies that I've been passing up on DVD since forever:
-Kick Ass and The Incredible Hulk. 3$ each.
