It's a misunderstanding.
The ring was given by uncle as a reward,
but Sui (the elf girl) misinterpret it,
because when uncle gave it he put it in the her finger.

Before moving into uncle and Sui's relationship...
I had to inform that human race in the isekai world have a handsome or pretty faces.
Everyone of them.
Kinda like a hollywood movie.
Meanwhile Uncle who has an ugly face,
is considered to have an orc-like face by the people of Isekai world.

That's why in the beginning, he always being treated harshly
which make the manga's kinda depressing to read at the beginning chapters.
He always mistakenly seen as an orc, not as a human.

Because of his "ugly" (by isekai world standard) face,
uncle never dreamed he had any chance with girls,
let alone a girl as beautiful as Sui.
It never crossed his mind, not even once.
He didn't realize that elves is a race that could live hundred or thousand years.
something like a face is just a trivial matter for them.

The misunderstanding about the ring was finally resolved later,
which angered Sui and she became bitter and ruder ever since.
This is a scene after Sui knows uncle gave a ring to someone else too :

Perhaps a bit too much spoilers there... but that's fine.

I guess Uncle had self-image issues as a child... though his Isekei would may not be a creation of his imagination, just generic isekei tropes like handsome and sexy people being the norm in medieval times when in truth medieval times were dirty and ugly, even by beauty standards of the time.

Still elves are tip-top sexy in fantasy media so I hope Uncle makes an aunt out of Sue.

Haha... it's hard to hit the brake when talking about Sui..
Fear not, from now ...

Witch hysteria's also happened in medieval times, right?
Such a scary times indeed...

Another "Bad movies I actually like" confession, I loved the Double Dragon movie and if we ever get a Streets of Rage movie I hope it will take some pages from it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9escFiqUJ0U

I mean, don't get me wrong, if we ever get a Strets of Rage movie then Miami Vice and Kurt Russels action movies should be the basis of it, just Double Dragon movie had that mid-90s urban "action-campy" vibe to it that I believe the original Streets of rage movies were trying to emulate.

Three SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive Titles Coming To Nintendo Online Expansion Pass

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkDhI7qStP4

Quote
It’s worth noting all three games were technically previously released on the SEGA Genesis Mini, albeit Alien Soldier was exclusive to the Asian (Korean and Chinese) market.
But the lineup is still a solid reveal regardless, especially since Alien Soldier and Super Fantasy Zone are expensive on third-hand markets.

As for me Double Dragon movie was kinda enjoyable ... but the TV series was meh.
But it's the opposite for Miami Vice..
The TV series was enjoyable ... but the movie was meh.

The State of EverDrives at Stone Age Gamer

Quote
"As you’ve no doubt noticed, most EverDrives are out of stock on our site.
This has resulted in a larger than usual amount of questions regarding potential restock times, as well as more general questions about the future of the brand since KRIKzz (the creator of the EverDrive flash carts) is based in Ukraine.
These questions aren't the easiest to answer given the situation over there right now, but this is what we know so far:"

Release Date for Genesis-inspired Style Freedom Planet Sequel, Freedom Planet 2, Finally Revealed : September 13th

Quote
To differentiate itself from its inspirations, Freedom Planet 2 brings changes to character designs.
The characters in the original game, while differentiated, are still somewhat Sonic-like given its origins as a fangame.
The sequel takes on its own style and uses higher-resolution sprites to create more detailed characters and separate itself from the heavily Genesis-inspired style of its predecessor.

I've played  abit of Landstalker. D-pad controls are a bit confusing with isometric. Maybe I should stop using my PlaySega pad to play these Mega Drive games with.

This could be a solution...

Landstalker (Genesis) - Improved Controls Hack

Quote
This is the original control improvement patch done by M.I.J.E.T. It works as it should.
Please note that Pennywise wasn’t the person who actually created this hack. The original author has made this hack available to the public on an as-is basis. No further support for this hack is offered.
Controls now as follows:

Up = Up-left
Right = Up-right
Down = Down-right
Left = Down-left
