Top Spin 4 has better graphics for sure, but otherwise all other comments I see around it in comparison to Virtua Tennis 4 are bullshit. You can play Top Spin 4 with one button just fine. I beat the AI on the hardest difficulty like this, it is very similarly done to Virtua Tennis, the ONLY differences are that TS4 forces you to charge your swings, it has more animations and an announcer that tells the audience to remain quiet. I can also respect that the actual characters always play as good as their real life counterparts, but stuff like that is not fun for people who are not avid tennis fans already and have no idea who is better than who. It is kind of a mess when the AI in TS4 does not even react to balls that are hit too far away from them usually.

Actually if anything Virtua Tennis just gives you more control over your shots. If that is really the only complaint outside of having constant music and minigames, then I do not see what the big deal is at all. I know people who actually play tennis and even they have trouble caring about which one is better conceptually, at the end of the day they all had more fun with Virtua Tennis because it has way more content and has a sense of humor.

If there are people who do not like the music or minigames, then they can just be ignored entirely. I do not see the issue at all.

That was actually a really well written review by someone who knows the franchise well. I did have to disagree about the content. 800 points (10 dollars) is more then enough for what the game offers. Even without single player it would've been worth it imo.

8/10, not bad

Two more positive Rise of Nightmares reviews:

No rating, but very positive:
"What I love most about Rise of Nightmares is that it actually works. Having finished the game I'm still very impressed with how responsive all the movement controls were, and how well they meshed together to perform a very cohesive experience. I think that this title is presenting ideas that a lot of other talented developers can run with, and while the overall experience can be a little rough at times, I think it's a title that all Kinect owners should be willing to check out. The horror setting might not be everyone's cup of tea, but if you have any interest in seeing standard, hardcore action titles brought to life with full on motion controls, then Rise of Nightmares should definitely be played."

7/10:

The game is actually an 8/10 but they had graphics and replay bring it down a point. Personally, I care about how fun the game is the first time. In terms of a Kinect title, CONTROLS and GAMEPLAY are the top priority, and those were 8/10.

80/100

This one is very much in tune with what I think about the game.

IGN gave sonic generations an 8.5. The review was better than the score, but I'm not really surprised given IGNs track record.

Eurogamer Portugal gave 8/10. The problem is, when i was reading the review, the guy wrote so many good things about the game that i thought "oh, this will be the first 10 of the game". Unfortunately, is only 8.
