I only play interactive movies posing as games, backed by mega marketing budgets and sold under big name franchises to mass audiences.

I can't handle something of this energy and intensity.

Just got it! AWESOME GAME!
Probably my best PSN game ever!
I finished it on first try though I failed a lot... I'm currently the last place in my friends Leaderboard (Aki-at on top!)
How many endings are there? I got ending C.
I was teary-eyed when I saw the SEGA logo in the ending, seriously this game is so SEGA-ish, a perfect example of a true SEGA game, I want more AM2 ports please :(

Keep playing. There's an EX option that will let you get to the last level no matter what, and you just have to make sure to shoot down the missiles to get ending A.

I really loved this game. I hope SEGA takes a hint and starts releasing more ports as downloadable games.

You realise the guy that probably made all of your favourite arcade games (Yu Suzuki) also pretty much pioneered the first and most obvious 'interactive movie' game. (Shenmue) And started the whole trend.

Shenmue is also the best game ever!

Played ABC last night, got the C ending and a load of EX options!

The option to have the machine gun auto fire is a godsend. My thumb was hurting holding down "A" throughout the game. Also, I like the larger crosshairs. Makes it easier to see what I'm shooting at from across the room.

Btw: http://majornelson.com/archive/2010/04/ ... il-19.aspx

ABC is the number 1 XBLA download!

One time I booted the game and it did the Sega jingle from Sonic The Hedgehog. Hasn't done it again. Anyone know how to make it do that?

Sad but true, that score was based on one playthrough.

I am too busy these days

Yeah, I appreciate the counter perspective.

For the sake of offering a defense, I would say that Shenmue was unique in that it is really a hybrid crossing over various genres and featured more of that "vitua" aspect than most interactive movie games with FREE's and the open world.  You could make a game that is entirely a point and click FMV and it still could be art just based on what it expresses, presentation and overall uniqueness.  Kind of like Dragon's Lair in the sense that it trail blazed its respective style in a memorable way with a flair and charm that held the test of time.  At the end of the day Shenmue is art based on the risky nature of the endeavor of undertaking it and everything that is expressed in the game.  Yu wanted to give players a unique experience with Shenmue and on that level the success of that achievement is reflected in the fan love and demand for another Shenmue today.

Back on top, AFC is admittedly a game that just makes a Sega fan proud to be a Sega fan.

This is the essence of sega style.

The game just bricked my PS3.
I was playing the game, then suddenly the PS3 turned itself off and I got YLOD.

I'm currently raging, hopefully I can fix it.

This. We should make a cross-platform Sega Bits leaderboard.

I'll post my sad score over the weekend.
