SOFT SHENMUE WAR "UPDATED! SEGA's J-POP event news!"
« on: September 18, 2010, 08:14:25 am »
UPDATE ADDED, check my next post "I went to SEGA's event
and I have awesome news"

Previous post

Hi there, I was a member of SEGA NERDS,
after I lost my contact....I don't know what happened to my username!
anyway...I am back again, and since I am a SEGA fan...
where a better place than here for me?
even better than SEGA's face book page and twitter.

anyway, I am here regarding something important,
urgent...it's up to you to take a step and assist me cuz
I am one person.

With SEGA,

people in SF, in world and all Shenmue fans,
let's have a fun fight with SEGA today!

With all the respect to SEGA's awesome Vanquish, Yakuza 4, Yakuza OF THE END, Valkyria series, Sonic 4, Bayonetta and ETC...Let's do this in order to let them know that we are still here...DEMANDING SHENMUE 3.

1-Screaming where is Shenmue 3 when they are showing Yakuza 4 and Sonic 4. ____EDIT: Not screaming/ asking or shouting if angry! lol.

(AT THEIR SF event)

http://blogs.sega.com/usa/2010/09/16/vi ... s-weekend/

I will go there in person! (now it's 6 AM...I need to get some sleep! I am excited!)

2-Posting impressive line up SEGA but we miss Shenmue (Today)

(AT THEIR TOKYO GAME SHOW LIVE STREAM CHAT)

in here

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/sega-tgs2010

or here

http://tgs.sega.jp/2010/stream/

3-At their face book page, http://www.facebook.com/sega

in Dreamcast related news!

"WE need Shenmue I and II in HD with 3D support or at least

TODAY WILL BE A SHENMUE FIGHT DAY 18 SEP

Shenmue I and II with a 3 announcement"

Of course they have a twitter,
and please post this topic and comments of mine on SEGA-related fan sites
if possible...because I have posted this as many as places as possible...
like Shenmue pages over face book.

The rest up to you, now let the SOFT WAR begins!

If we were not doing what we have achieved so far,
who could see Ryo again and in a next gen game! (doesn't matter if it was a SEGA ALL STAR game)
beside we got a figure and other stuff!

Now we want to push them for an immediate Shenmue DC digital announcement!

and the FINAL WILL BE OUR DREAM, IT WILL COME CUZ IT'S ALIVE, SHENMUE 3....

UPDATE ADDED, check my next post "I went to SEGA's event
and I have awesome news"

Best regards, Ali M.N

Hey Ali, its Sharky! I respect your passion for the Shenmue series... While I don't think this soft war will help much in the decission to release Shenmue 3 or not... I'll make sure to blabber about Shenmue as much as possible today!

"1-Screaming where is Shenmue 3 when they are showing Yakuza 4 and Sonic 4."

That's just rude dude.  Don't do that.  I think I've finally given up hope.  It's not happening.

Hey alimn, long time not seen you in SEGA forums and welcome to SEGAbits!

I agree with you, we should never forget about Shenmue and always ask SEGA to bring it, on every event. Would be great if you scream where is Shenmue today at the SoA event :) Hopefully there will be some high SEGA manager and not only the comunity team.

Posting on twitter or facebook is useless in my opinion, cause the sites are run by the comunity teams of SEGA and they cannot do nothing.

Oh Alimn! :O
it's been a long time since i saw you posting! welcome bro .

as for what you are talking about . i am sorry but i don't feel that this would affect anything to push SEGA over what we wanted .

all i am asking for right now is Shenmue I & II as a digital release .
and here is hoping that this will do well and convince SEGA to keep supporting the franchise .
for me i will purchase them in every possible console to support , and i know there is a lot of fans out there who will act the same way .

Response and HELL YEA! I went there "I HAVE UPDATE"

1-Thank you everyone for checking my topic,

2-Screaming, opps for that part...I was going to say shouting or asking,
it is not only rude but also men don't scream, at least the ones like me,
don't worry that did not happen.

3-Managers where also there.

UPDATE

I went to SEGA's J-POP event,

I played their games, pretty amazing line up since Dreamcast era...

Yakuza 4 simply awesome fighting! and catchy characters "Kiryuu rules",
Sonic 4 of course finally genesis is back!
Vanquish "WHO DARES, IT'S MIKAMI-SAN",
Sonic Colors "I got surprised, can this be finally a good 3D Sonic since
Adventure, seems they have learned a lot"
Sonic Adventure "After 10 years, still shining, way better than previous
versions, a must re-buy!",
Crazy Taxi "I loved on it on DC, but I did not see the point of bringing it back
in the same way,
at least Crazy Taxi 3D could be a better thing..., but still, a good game from
it's time"
there also some DC achievements and rewards, which you can earn by
playing Sonic and Crazy once again on PS3 and 360 systems.

On a Shenmue fan point of view!

I talked with some key rules and got their biz card just in case, well...I
made friends with some of them that's why I got their cards.

However I can not reveal the names because this industry is all about keep
things behind the scene and revealing them in the right time and form,
so, higher positions may ask them why you did this or that? of course, they
did not do anything wrong, but I am not going to reveal their privacy.

At the end all of the people I met were truly SEGA fans and great
smart and informative staff, one of them was just coming back from
SEGA's TGS presentation.

When I reached at their booth, I immediately asked the one who looked to
be serious,
can I ask a question? I love Yakuza 4 but "WHERE IS SHENMUE 3?"
the face impression was interesting, but he was ready for this...
he replied back "I CAN NOT ANSWER THAT"
and I said that's nothing new, your boss always say that...
I want something more, then he gave me a hint!
If you try harder on this place and that place maybe you find something
more!
(I did not said, that I have already tried,...even getting in touch with Suzuki
san,
even IGN fella looked after him for me, and once you locked the comment
section of SEGA blogs because of me!)
Instead I appreciated his time and told him, that the fans are still waiting
and hopefully I will try things he learned me.

Pretty interesting professional guy, he knew how to response while not
crushing my heart.

In my speak with another key rule, I asked him to let the higher positions
know that
the userbar of Shenmue franchise has grown up in a big way and there are
much more Shenmue fans comparing to Xbox days,
all because they just played it recently on AMAZON's remaining
dreamcast
consoles or using DC emulators.

I also asked not for a 3D version of Shenmue I & II DC cuz that's technically
possible now, it will be better
than re-releasing it with nothing, the guy who I talked was a DC
digital-rule, he liked the idea of 3DC, so let's see what will happen,
personally, I am sure SEGA OF JAPAN is already considering this especially
after Team ICO talked about 3D Shadow and ICO PS2 on PS3.

Finally, maybe they were joking...but they looked serious, when I was about
to leave....
I told them I know it's in development, then the DC key rule was like
hmmm, then the guy who was just back from TGS but not tired from the
flight
grabbed him and said we don't know, so both turned their back to me "we
can't tell!"

Overall, I am pretty positive, more than before...

I can tell we gonna see it for sure
...maximum, after Yakuza OF THE END but remember YAKUZA 5 may get
announced too cuz THE END is not 5,
it will happen in this gen rather than next gen, I think they are going to
have a digital re-birth for DC,
then they can re-introduce Shenmue, it's all gaming publishing and dev
issues, other wise they all love Shenmue
but SEGA OF JAPAN is the problem, they are just so careful, especially since
the big money loss over DC and Shenmue over there.

I also talked about SEGA at TGS with the guy who was coming back from
them,
he really loved Virtua Tennis 4's experience! and he mentioned good things
about OF THE END,
and etc,...

Thanks a lot for their time, it was a busy hard day for me, but I could
manage my time some how,
to at least meet the SEGA team at their booth!, SEGA should keep having
events like this,
many people felt in LOVE with Sonic Colors, many did not even know about
4, and I played Yakuza 4 a lot
showing my special skills and people was like, "Ah, this game looks
cool,...what's it's name?"

A huge thanks for the free stuff they gave to me, SEGA's shirt and some
=SEGA-fan only stuff.

Last but not least,
I told them PLEASE VF5 Final Showdown on consoles,
they did not comment on this one! not NO not yes,
which is another good sign.

One more thing, it's been a long time since I've stopped talking about
Shenmue in unrelated places, but really the community and it's manager
can get pissed off so bad when people post Shenmue like in a
Vanquish topic, let's be nice Shenmue fans, well, you are already all nice
fans.

In closing sorry for errors and mistakes in my post,
I am facing hard times, very hard to manage my time,
brain and body crushing art and design assignments,
time consuming and etc, so not so much time left
to organize my writings and ...over gaming forums at the moment.
please ignore them...That screaming error was an example,
I was writing that while one of my eyes was about to close!

At the real end,
I am going to post my pictures at SEGA's booth
or maybe pics from the goodies I got...only,

Best Regards, Ali M.N

Good read Alimn and thanks for your impressions. It's nice to see great SEGA fans like you or the other guy who came back from TGS.

I just didn't understand exactly what hint the SEGA guy gave you after you asked about Shenmue III.

Personally I don't think SEGA will re-release Shenmue I+II for digital download, the game would be too big. And they quite messed up Sonic Adventure (no full screen, many bugs), so I don't know if I wanna like to see a buggy Shenmue version.

Looking forward to the pictures of the event.

Oh, I am amazed, how fast you could read it...nice
and thanks for checking my update too.

Well,
the whole meeting was kinda a hint!
they were ready for Shenmue questions to say
"We can not speak about that"
but not "No plans" or "We don't know".

In fact the serious guy even appreciated me to try harder
in order to make them to talk, he gave me some links to
go online and I try harder on those specific places to make
the boss talks! and in fact reveals(in my own opinion).

The last two staff also seemed not be joking,
when I asked for the last time "Where is Shenmue III"
one of them was like "Hmmm,"
but the other one suddenly grabbed him and told we can not answer that!
both turned their back to me while saying this, ha ha...

As for digital re-release of Shenmue I and II,
we talked,
it's possible...they said...technically...nothing on the way,
there are bigger games now on ONLINE markets,
but as for HD, in fact we talked about Sonic Adventure

Do you know why, it is not HD?
Sega wanted to play, they don't want to cheat on us,
it's also safe for the look of their game,
texture maps in Sonic is low res, for DC era,
so if they want to make it in HD, scaling those maps
will destroy the look of graphics, and in fact it will be a fake HD,
not a real HD, blurry low res maps, with easy looking pixels!
Many companies have the maps already in high res,
and many don't and just cheat, SEGA preferred this way.
^I suppose you know this, let's just say no full screen
, no real HD, cuz they did not have time to start from scratch.

As for damn bugs, they are everywhere....
at this point, not only Sonic, of course they are more in
stuff like this...especially Sonic, even the DC one had amazing bugs, lol.

Best Regards, Ali M.M

"Sep 22 NEW MAJOR UPDATE"
IMPORTANT UPDATE TO CORRECT MY ORIGINAL POST OVER SHENMUE DOJO
REGARDING SEGA'S J-POP EVENT AND MY SHENMUE QUESTIONS & UPDATES,
perhaps there are still other mistakes or even false news
which can be found on my post, so feel free to let me know to correct them

In fact,
I am posting this latest update in respond to people's speculation over SEGA boards
at here:

http://forums.sega.com/showthread.php?t=45556&page=120

To prove that I am the same Shenmue dojo
& Segabits member who started all this story
and most importantly to stop wrong guessing.

HERE IS THE ACTUAL RESPOND AND UPDATE REVEALING THE TRUTH

OH! my god!, I am so sorry for this...I gonna solve this issue now!
that was an urgent not well organized post by me,
because I wrote in with so much excitement and
hype!, also tired!

I think a part of this story is really wrong! I admit,
, well, now that I think and as far as I remember it happened in this way,
in fact I am going to post this over Shenmue dojo (at the same original topic)
and also the other Sega fan site which I posted this to stop any more guessing.

This is the wrong part( yes, this is wrong...mostly wrong)

Quote from: "alimn"
The last two staff also seemed not be joking,
when I asked for the last time "Where is Shenmue III"
one of them was like "Hmmm,"
but the other one suddenly grabbed him and told we can not
answer that!
both turned their back to me while saying this, ha ha..."

This is the right version,

The last two staff also seemed not joking completely,
when I asked for the last time "Where is Shenmue III",
one of them was like,...(he was about to tell me something
as always like no plans or...), but the other one heard us
and told that we don't know, we don't know...
in fact the other one came up with something faster
than the other one,..."To me, even they believe
that a Shenmue III might happen, however to them
who knows? I am not them,...and I don't work at SEGA.

^Yes, this is the way it happened, I deeply apologize for
any misunderstanding, however I don't think I made such a mistake!
while writing the original one, so some people has edited
my original post???, not sure tough,...I was really tired while
writing about SEGA J-POP.

Still maybe not well organized
but the point is they were mostly joking with me because
it was a fun friendly event and there is so much about Shenmue over the internet
and most importantly they told me "we don't know, or we can't answer that,
the best thing I heard is that try harder!"

I have also posted this over a SEGA fan site called Sega bits,
I am going to correct my mistake over that place too,
people should be responsible for what they say and
as a result to my sleepy post, I should spend my time
solving the problems that I may have caused.

people should be responsible for what they say and
as a result to my sleepy post, I should spend my time
solving the problems that I may have caused.

Also, If you check and compare the original date and time
of my posts, you can easily understand, there is only
one "alimn" posting all these stories for the first time
and I am trying to update you with what I know,
most importantly I am not a SEGA staff, just a fan like you.

Best Regards, Alimn
