Whoever they are, reminds me a bit of Pulseman.

Yep, I can see the similarities. May be Sonic became Pulseman too when he moves at the speed of light!
Ken Sugimori said, "The Pulseman system was created by me and Tajiri. The most popular game on the Mega Drive at the time was Sonic The Hedgehog. We wanted to create a character that would go beyond that game. “If Sonic can move at the speed of sound, then Pulseman will move at the speed of light!”

Derek Pascarella : I'm thrilled to announce the v1.0 release of our English translation patch for Altron Corporation's 1998 game "Jung Rhythm" on the SEGA Saturn!
Who's ready for a colorful, bizarre, 32-bit song-and-dance adventure?
So, what's "Jung Rhythm" all about? I'm so glad you asked!
The game puts players in the shoes of Vanilla Essence, a young girl obsessed with the Earth-loving, eco-conscious rockstar, Chorking.
Similar to the well-known "PaRappa the Rapper" on PlayStation, our protagonist must sing and dance her way to victory!
But this game is hard! There's no two ways about it; timing your button presses to the beat can be a real challenge.
It gets easier with practice though, so don't give up! There's even a "TRAINING" mode accessible from the main menu to help ...
