I Didn't find the others memorable but this is the character I was going to post, and Just like Ryo Hazuki, his true faith hasn't been revealed as part 3 isn't out yet and thanks to Bayonetta will never come out.

What does Bayonetta have to do with Shenmue III?

I think he was referring to a prospective third modern Shinobi game (where Nightshade would be considered the second game), and what he's saying is that they're not going to make it because they now have Bayonetta instead. :P

Shinobi is not an action beat em up series anyways. Hopefully whenever they make another one it is more of a platformer again.

I dunno why people are talking about Ryo and JSR since they were out before 2001.

Ryo I can agree-o, but my point about JSR was that the character designs in JSRF were very different. That's why I mentioned Beat, not to mention a good deal of the cast were new characters. Also, I'm gonna have to second ORTA. She was awesome.

this is so-so fan art, but it illustrates my point:

I'll admit, characters like Beat Gum are similar between games, but Corn, Yoyo and Bisu are totally reworked and in my eyes are post-2001 characters.
