RIP Rieko Kodama

Rieko Kodama, also known as Phoenix Rie, has passed away.
She was a major designer for the Phantasy Star series, directing IV, and produced several games including Altered Beast, Phantasy Star IV, Alex the Kidd, Sonic 1, and Skies of Arcadia.
She will be greatly missed.

Oh man, every aesthetic choice about those two series was exactly what I love about JRPGs. I love those two series above all others. RIP, you will be missed Phoenix Rie!

Yes. I only played 3DS version of 7th Dragoon but I loved it so much due its similarity to Classic Phantasy Star series.
Also SEGA Ages Phantasy Star was my favorite game of 2019 but sadly SEGA Ages lineup was already ended.



Guess asking sequel of 7th Dragon for Switch/PS5/XBox Series X/S is gonna be hard now that she's gone.
She will greatly missed.
