It's a wait and see for me sadly. It looks interesting as a concept, but from what I've seen the procedurally generated worlds look a bit plain. There doesn't seem to be much drive behind your objective or much to actually do then collect resources world to world.

It seems like a fun concept. The game map will be huge and the largest of any other. I just think the graphics don't look as great as they should and there seems to be no storyline whatsoever.

I think I'll enjoy it. It's definitely not the kind of game that everyone will be into, in spite of the high awareness and hype surrounding it. I think the kind of people who will enjoy it the most will be people who are motivated to engage in 'extracurricular' activities surrounding it. Streaming, blogging, taking part in forum discussions, taking screenshots of interesting creatures and locations and sharing them. I'm hoping that the creatures will have interesting behaviors and there will be some sort of emergent behaviors that result from different animal species interacting with each other.

I expect that it's almost like a sim game and a lot of the enjoyment of it will be coming from how each player imagines their own role in the universe. People who are expecting a very curated and guided experience with a standard plot will feel that it's aimless.

I predict that it will be another Pokémon Snap clone.

Have you ever played a PS3 game called Afrika? It was a game about taking pictures of animals and putting them in an atlas/journal. Just like Pokémon Snap.

I played Afrika and it did not involve shooting spaceships. It was more of a nature game. I have never played Pokemon Snap, but I imagine it was also not as violent as No Man's Sky will be. Of course, I could be wrong since I have yet to play Pokemon Snap or No Man's Sky.

Afrika is not violent unless you piss off the animals by getting too close to them. Pokémon Snap is a rail shooter.

Isn't Terraria just a knock off of Minecraft and Super Mario Bros.?

I'd say more minecraft and... castlevania and maybe a bit of wonderboy? The equipments in the game are really unique.

So now that leaked copies and stuff have come out. How do you feel about the fact that the AI is stupid and that most planets do have some sort of minor life on it?

Also seems that the developer went back on their word and allowed people to travel to the center of their galaxy within 10 hours of gameplay.
