HA! Spotted this on Kotaku, funny stuff. However, they all seem to like it in the end. Funny how none of them bring up Gorillaz, which is the same concept but with a Euro/American background. Guess kids don't know about Gorillaz. Even Gorillaz perform in the same way: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_gnMOom7kE

And so true, with a fictional pop star, you never worry about bad press via public drunkenness or drugs. Though Gorillaz are often scripted to go through bad times.

I have to agree, I doubt American mainstream will get it.

Most of what the kids say is the same as my initial reaction to the Miku craze, but I've grown to accept it. I don't think the music is great, but it is impressive considering the source.

I do think the "live performance" is pretty cool, but you wouldn't see me thrusting a glow stick.

Honestly, I would go see a Hastune Miku concert over pretty much any other music artist.

Meanwhile, it's almost confirmed the landing on PSVita of the series, doing so become at least three the games of Hatsune Miku under development:

WOW.

I think the A.D.H.D. generation of kids could get behind that!
