Yeah, the American cover art for Silver isn't that great.

Off topic, but Power Stone 2's cover art is THE worst cover art of ANY american Dreamcast game:

Huge logo, ugly green background, in-game character model of a secondary character.

Then we have the Japanese cover:

It's night and day.

Yeah the Dreamcast American covers are really screwed up, but Power Stone was a sequel to a very popular arcade game/launch title. I think it is below average but not a deal breaker.

Looks like a Japanese Dating Sim made it to western shores.

Still wouldn't buy this based on the cover, but atleast it look likes a cover of an rpg game.

^ I want this game!

I don't remember how I bought Arcadia, I remember seeing the cover and scratching my head, but beyond that I have no recollection. Nonetheless I thank the moons that I did. I also think Arcadia failed on dc cause of the dreadful dating sim-esque cover.

Found the opening movie for Silver. Forgot how incredibly eerie it was.

I'd also like to add that this game has a fantastic soundtrack.

A decent list featuring many of the suggestions posted. Only unique one I saw was Dragon Riders, but I can't say for sure if it was really any good.

Silver is a really nice and decent RPG (great voice acting too) ,  Evolution II is much better than the 1st (and highly sort after)

Nothing beats Grandia II on the DC for me (love that game) Also its worth looking at D2; it plays very much like a RPG and the game is quite brilliant in its own right

Ah yeah, the "D" series of games is very unique, but not for everyone. Very strange and somewhat hard to appreciate games, like Illbleed (which is not an RPG).

D2 and Maken X (which is also not an RPG) are the only Dreamcast games that I know of that cannot be properly burned and played freely on the console, so in a few years these may become some of the rarest games on the platform. They are worth checking into for collectors, at least.

D2 is already really tough to get ahold of.
Maken X is pretty common though.

Record of Lodoss War: Advent of Cardice is another RPG that might interest you. It's made by the same studio who went on to develop Shining Force Neo & EXA, both of which I enjoyed.

D2 was the game in the snow with aliens right? The plane crashed somwhere and you play the woman in the red dress? I remember reading about that in Sega Saturn magazine before the DC launched, amazing graphics for the time.

And which platform was the first D on? I keep confusing it with Enemy Zero on Saturn.

I never played Grandia 2 before, so on your recommendations I bought it.  Now I'm playing throgh #1 on the PSP before I start #2.  I did pop it in and play a few minutes to make sure it works so I could give the ebay guy feedback.  What a nice looking game.  I look forward to it.

I love both Grandia and Grandia II. Haven't gotten to play Extreme or Grandia III yet, but the first two games are stellar!

I agree, it's really well thought out and fun to play.  Also, there's very little level grinding at all, and so far I actually want to get in the fights.  I was all ready to say, "You mean Grindia" but it's not like that at all, so there goes that pun.
