I'm reminded of that episode of AoSTH when scratch and Grounder had loyalty chips put in their heads and an error made them loyal to Sonic. There's this scene where Sonic was going to ditch them over a ravine and I was like "Damn Sonic, these guys get abuse from Dr. Robotnik like every hour of their lives, you could at leasy be better than Robotnik in that regard."

I'm just saying Sonic isn't considering himself as a hero, at least according to Sonic CD Manual. Due to his free spirit, he doesn't really care about authority too and just does what he thinks is right. "If I have courage, I can do anything."
