Fans are calling Sonic Frontiers’ DLC ‘the hardest gameplay in any Sonic game’

Quote
Fans across Twitter, Reddit and various forums have been venting their frustration with some of the new challenges.
These include challenges that require the player to climb a large tower – with perfect platforming skills required and no checkpoints should they fail – and a final boss rush where the player has to defeat every boss in a row, and a single hit will kill Sonic.
A thread on Sonic Frontiers’ GameFAQs forum called “This DLC is way too hard” now stretches to 12 pages, with numerous players ...

I've started playing it myself, it's rather challenging given it takes place on the last island in the game with characters with 0 skills.

Yep, you're not alone. It's not just rather challenging, it's very challenging.

I don't think if I would of bothered with Hyena or not, but I don't like it when Sega of Europe get the short end of the stick between Sega of Japan and America. I don't want Sega to decide to relocate SoE elsewhere after Brexit or worse demolish it entirely.

At least even if they're relocated, SEGA Europe is still using english as main language.
SEGA Asia doesn't always use english, they mostly use chinese language.

S&tSR Party Mode was made by a separate group in the development of S&tSR, I think staff who made Sonic Shuffle actually assisted in the development of S&tSR Party Mode.

Ooh, no wonder it feels no connection between the mini games and the game stories.
I played the mini games more than the main game so I guess it's a good thing they included them.
I wonder why S&tBK didn't include them again.

Yep, you're not alone. It's not just rather challenging, it's very challenging.
It's because Ouranos Island is the last island in the game thus it's suppose to have tougher monsters while players have already unlocked all the skills, familiarise themselves with them and have around 20-50 is their attack and defence stats. Final Horizon takes place on the same island, but Sonic's friends start off with 0 stats, 0 skill points and half their necessary skills locked. So yeah, bit of an unfair learning curve for these characters. I was concerned I couldn't figure out how to "attack" with Amy yet I still get my ass kicked by the guardians.
At least even if they're relocated, SEGA Europe is still using english as main language.
SEGA Asia doesn't always use english, they mostly use chinese language.
Yeah but... I want Sega of Europe to stay in UK. If they can't, can't we at least have a "Sega of UK"?

As fr hyena, I feel bad for those who wer egenuinely looking forward to it. I was curious if it would of been the next Fortnite or Overwatch.

I didn't had any friends to play the party mode with. As for S&yBK, probably to make room for the fan art.

The learning curve (with new characters) is really unfair, it's like the developer making this DLC very hard in purpose just because some fans said Sonic Frontiers was too easy before.

Moving office to another country is such hassle (cost-wise and legals) so I don't think it will be moved .... so soon.

Yeah, especially since the beta was getting good responses and just as the game was nearing the end of development.

That's my guess also.

I hope not. As a Brit, it's awesome that we have a British Sega branch.
Yeah, especially since the beta was getting good responses and just as the game was nearing the end of development.
Hope not. But creative Assembly also made Aliens, Total War and Warhammer games. Fans will not be happy with Sega about that!

I wish we have SEGA Indonesia branch. We got so many Yakuza, Persona, and Football Manager fans here.

The same fans who're bashing CA in Facebook and Twitter for making HYENAS instead of the game they wanted, Alien Isolation 2.

Well, if Sega headquarters govern their territories by "continents", then Sega of Japan could cover all of Asia which I believe Indonesia is part of... that or the "continent of Australia".
After all despite Sega of Europe being located in england, they govern the marketing of all of Europe than just UK... obviously.
The same fans who're bashing CA in Facebook and Twitter for making HYENAS instead of the game they wanted, Alien Isolation 2.
yeah but it's kind of unfair for those fans to tell what kind of games for a company to make. What if they simply want to do other stuff? What if we like the other stuff they make? We'll never know if we hassle them to stay one-noted.

But Creative Assembly pretty much gave Sega some heavy-hitters such as Total War, Warhammer. And if they were at all working on an Alien Isolation sequel, it would be Sega that denied the fans, not CA.

There are SEGA Japan, SEGA Korea, and SEGA Asia.
I believe SEGA Asia governs the marketing of all of Asia (other than Japan and Korea).
SEGA Japan only talks in Japanese, SEGA Korea only talks in Korean, only SEGA Asia sometimes talks in English.
SEGA Asia is located in Taiwan and since they are localizing the games into Chinese language too for Chinese market, they mostly speak Chinese.
But a few months ago they have started a subsidiary called SEGA SEA (SEA = South East Asian) and they use English language.

Fans be like that. Everytime a new Sonic 3D games came up, there're always 2D gameplay fans who complained and vice versa.
Also may be the owner of Aliens franchise who denied it, not SEGA, not CA.

This was my jam on my Game Gear!

That's good but I prefer Bridge Zone.
