Set in the 1990s, Rolling Thunder 2 is a James Bond-esque arcade game that sees players take command of two members of the World Criminal Police Organization's Rolling Thunder task force, Leila and Albatross. Their mission is to fight back against the evil terrorist group known as Geldra (the villain from the first game), who is intent on destroying the world's satellites in order to sow chaos across the world. Players will have to travel across a bunch of colourful locations, blasting away Geldra's masked henchmen, while using environmental features like crates to duck out of harm's way. The game also features a terrific and varied soundtrack from the accomplished composer Ayako Saso (who later worked on Ridge Racer).

Someone has posted pictures Landstalker: Heart of Diamond, a 1997 fan book which includes a summary of the story as well as drawings of the various characters drawn by Yoshitaka Tamaki for the cancelled 2nd episode.Link : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qdSGcia64xCQisZHn2FFHl-b-wAeJ0LG/view?fbclid=IwAR0jgdxpkKBBFLQoQkk7FsZxG9hO_EKSELH3bXwnk5gjKeRVcukDj1PfqCkIt says that Lyle gained the ability to transform into various animals after receiving a magic wand, that Zak, Karla and her gang and the Duke of Mercator were back in the game and that the story was to take place in Gamul, a place we discover in the opening of the first episode.Lyle and Friday are given a mission by the minister of Gamul to rescue a woman imprisoned in a diamond, presumably held by a demon king hiding in a dungeon and trying to conquer Gamul with his monster troops. Lyle refuses but goes after the demon king anyway. Friday is kidnapped by the Duke of Mercator and the big bad of the story turns out to be the one who had given his task to Lyle, the imprisoned girl and the demon king being in fact a couple of beings of the same species, who have been targeted by the minister.
Soon after joining Sega, Sega Menacer light gun co-creator Mac Senour's boss, Sega veteran Steve Hanawa, explained why so many of the messages Senour was sending to Japan were going unanswered:"He said, 'Oh, I failed to explain something very important to you. Sega Japan hates Sega of America, and won't do anything to help us. And they will actually throw stumbling blocks in front of you. Have a good day!'"Senour feels that the awkward relationship was a matter of trust – or lack of it:"They didn't trust us, and they didn't understand our market. So we would turn down titles, and they were insulted that we would turn down their side-scrolling shooting games. And at the upper levels, they really wanted us just to behave, to do what they wanted us to do, to be a carbon copy. And the two markets are very different from each other; you can't take a great game in Japan and assume it's going to be a great game in America."This isn't the first time ...

For the uninitiated, an Optical Drive Emulator, or ODE, is a device that can take the place of a console’s original optical drive, the device that reads game discs. Instead of playing games off of original discs, an ODE can play digital disc image files from a flash memory device, usually an SD card like in the Phøde’s case. These are good for replacing a failing disc drive, while also retaining a console’s ability to play games as long as the rest of the console’s parts still work. There are already multiple ODEs on the market for many consoles, including ...
