Secret code for Clockwork Knight 2, unlocking the original Clockwork Knight, discovered after 28 years

Quote
As for why Clockwork Knight exists within the sequel’s disc, that’s because North American copies of Clockwork Knight 2 are actually based on the Japanese CK 1&2 compilation “Clockwork Knight: Pepperouchau no Fukubukuro”, and not the actual standalone Clockwork Knight 2 game. It’s not currently known why Sega of America opted to adapt that version of the sequel instead. (Though the compilation does include some extra bug fixes, so perhaps Sega of America simply wanted North Americans to have the most stable version of the game available?) What is known is that they deliberately disabled access to the original game, most likely to not harm sales of the prequel, which was still in print at the time. We don’t

Quote
*Prime Selections Vol. 1* is a Saturn demo disc that includes a prototype of Clockwork Knight 2.
Normally it lets you play one level, but it's got data for three others.
I've published a patch that lets you play the extra ones.
There's a link below!

Is there perchance an amazon.co.uk or eBay source?

I did find this, but doesn't come in UK/Eu black.

I'm sure there will be later after they're released.
The products weren't out yet.
Release date is January 2024 but no exact date.

Homebrew port of Konami’s X-Men arcade game being worked on for Saturn; playable demo now available

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4PmZSxvGRQ

Quote
The port is early in development, with the demo available as of this writing being version 0.1.1. The demo only consists of the first stage and gives you access to only two characters: Wolverine and Cyclops. Developer hotrodx also has a message displayed in the demo saying that they’re not using any source code derived from the original game and are, instead, eyeballing the whole game, trying to match the arcade game’s feel as much as possible. It sounds difficult, but based on this demo, they seem to be on the right track. You can try it with an ODE such as a Fenrir, Satiator, or Phøde on real NTSC Saturn hardware and ...

Showing off our consoles!

It's nice Sega still have their old consoles and not abandoned the past.

All the more reason I kinda wish more of their controllers and accessories were released for modern PC or consoles. Such as those light guns or Sega keyboards.

If even third parties aren't interested in licensing and making it, probably because the demands are so low or it's deemed would not make enough profit.

SEGA Reportedly Has Three More IPs Its Reviving

Quote
According to a report from Insider Gaming, their sources confirmed that three other franchises would be brought back into the marketplace.
Those three games are Panzer Dragoon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Sakura Taisen.
Of course, those are just rumored right now, as nothing official from Sega has confirmed that these game IPs are in development or scheduled to see a release sometime in the near future. Meanwhile, it wasn’t long after ...

Retro-bit Releases New Firmware for Saturn Pro Controller

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jmb5oKnShtE

Quote
Retro-bit released updated firmware Saturday for their new wireless Saturn Pro controller to fix input problems when using it on real Saturn hardware, but the “Virtual On Mode” it adds doesn’t work correctly.
The new version 1.1 firmware for the controller’s console receiver — which can be downloaded from the company’s website — fixes the ZL and ZR shoulder buttons so that they now correctly mirror a Saturn’s L and R buttons when the Saturn Pro is in 3D analog mode. That means Nights into Dreams works correctly when pulling off tricks — something the controller couldn’t do on ...

I guess so.

But you'd think the light guns would be at least a thing. If not by Retro-bit then at least by
Sinden
who are the leading brand of modern PC light guns.

As for keyboards... I guess I can understand why they would give them a miss. They're just generic keyboards, after all.

Maybe if they had something like a hybrid controller-keyboard like what the GameCube had, I would find that practical.

I didn't know controllers require software to use, just plug in and play controllers.

Well, this keyboard did sell well ....

But it's because there are a lot more of Sonic fans than light gun game fans.

I didn't know controllers require software to use, just plug in and play controllers.

It's for bug fixing, but still basic software is still needed to at least making the buttons mapped correctly.
