In the forum of site digiex.net there are these screenshots of a possibly conversion of Crazy Taxi for the XBLA platform :




Screens and source(partnernet) seem legitimate.

I figure it probably won't be, but I wish it would be Crazy Taxi 3.  A great sequel that I held onto in the hopes that it would eventually be made backwards-compatible for the 360, but it never happened.  Still, any way to make some crazy money sounds good to me.

FINALLY! Literally this was the most obvious choice of a SEGA game that needs to be on the XBLA that would sell great.

My Dreamcast copy is still running just fine, so I don't really need it right now.

But if it were Crazy Taxi 3 instead, the I'd jump on it.

I'll buy it the second this shit comes out if it's true and will try to get 200/200 no matter how ridiculous the achievements are!

Oh wait! I just thought of something, will it still have the Offspring/Bad Religion soundtrack? Hopefully there aren't any licensing issues or something, because the game had a perfect fitting soundtrack. Remember the bassline from 'Americana' playing over the menus?

Will it have the awesome extra Dreamcast City? IT HAD BETTER HAVE CRAZY BOX! Argh I want this game now.

As you can tell I'm kinda excited for this.

Man, I'd love it if The Offspring and Bad Religion music disappeared for this game. It was so fucking annoying and repetitive, nobody should have to put up with it.

I wonder if they'll leave in KFC and all the horrifically offensive ethnic stereotypes...?

Oh, that was half of the experience (the product placement being the other half  :P). Either way, you'll probably be able to use songs of your chosing so it's all good.

Oh yeah, that's right...

In that case, they shouldn't bother adding in the music and just allow custom soundtracks. Then people like MadeMan can put up with the painful music by buying the songs themselves, if they want to. :P

Everyone I know hates Offspring and their music, but thinks it fits perfectly with Crazy Taxi, which it does.

Custom soundtracks are standard for Xbox 360 games (developers are not allowed to remove the feature : > ), so I think we've got the best of both worlds here anyways.

Sorry fluffy, looks like your opinion is wrong this time. But yeah, if we have custom soundtracks we can listen to whatever music we want at least. I doubt they'll be able to get the original songs again so thats good news.

What has Offspring even been doing the last ten years? Children parties? I doubt licensing their tracks would have been all that expensive.

If Crazy Taxi was stripped of the Offspring, product placement and B.D.Joe, then you might as well not call it Crazy Taxi. Ska, KFC and "We be on our way!" = Crazy Taxi. It's just plan stupid to argue otherwise.

Their last album was Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace last year or the year before. You might remember this song, it was pretty popular on Australian stations at least.

You also have to remember that Offspring have been around since 1984, you kinda have to expect a band to slow down a bit after 25 years...
