James Cameron's back from the bottom of the ocean.
« on: March 26, 2012, 09:09:48 am »
Anybody else see the news about James Cameron?

I can't wait to see what kind of footage he's got from his trip down into the Mariana Trench (deepest point of the ocean on Earth). It's really hard to beleive that the last time anyone's gone down there, was a team of two in 1960.  The idea of going almost 11km deep is just wild.

With the last lunar landing taking place in 1972, and NASA shutting down the Space Shuttle program, It's nice to see this kind of thing going on today.

Any thoughts?

He may use some of the footage as an inspiration for the new Avatar. Supposedly, it's going to be more underwater-based, like The Abyss.
