You'd think they would have some reference to the Shinobi series, given they're both Sega properties.

Or maybe Roblox could collaborate with other Roblox games for exclusives. For example when Big the Cat was released as an avatar, why not have Big playable in Fishing Simulator? Or given the ninja Sonic characters, why not have them as a playable avatar in Ninja-Legends?

It would certainly encourage me to play these other Roblox games if Big the Cat or Espio the Chameleon was playable in them.

Yeah, such a missed opportunity but who knows may be Sonic Team / Gamefam did want to reference it to Shinobi but SEGA didn't allow it.
Remember, SEGA didn't allow Joe Musashi to be a secret playable character in Streets of Rage 4 when the developer proposed it.
Well, not like SEGA rejected it, it's more like they didn't say a yes so it couldn't be done.
Same reason with collaboration. It couldn't happen if the big bosses at SEGA didn't say yes.
