Hopefully they at least know what they're doing.

It's starting to sound like the console acts as an OnLive box that allows you to play games via the controller. So the TV is off or in use, and the player is in another room of the house playing a streamed game. Sounds... interesting, but hardly a "OMFG I NEED THAT!" selling point for me personally.
Oh, you mean what the PSP and PS3 already do?

Can't wait for the innovation speeches at E3 then.

Sega intended Game Gears' successor to have a touch screen, before Game.com, and the Dreamcast fishing controller was motion controlled. Nintendo is often late to the party and often first to be credited for innovations previously applied to gaming by another company.

The reason Nintendo is credited is because they are the first ones to do it right/best/mainstream. I'm probably thinking the fishing controller had no use outside of a certain game.

Edit: PSP and PS3.. hmm. The PSP has less buttons so its already broken from there.. Button combinations to replace missing buttons is such a hassle if you were thinking of that.

The same tech was used in the Maraccas for Samba de Amigo on 'Cast and the fishing controller could be used with a few games, but the most well known other than a fishing game is Soul Calibur.

SdA Maracas were 100% compatible with Cool Cool Toon. In fact, SNK intended for them to be used with the game. It actually is a lot of fun, very different from SdA. You use one maraca and grip it with two hands (like a sword) and move it about a circle area to the music.

I believe the "Feel" stuff. Mainly because Miyamoto has been saying he has wanted to make a game you could feel for years.

I have also heard of this tech in the past. It was used on steering wheel monitors and similar stuff for personal vehicles, but was unsuccessful because it cost too much money and had no real practical use. I could see this being potentially amazing in games, but having a controller with a wide screen on it sounds damn expensive enough as is... Controllers are already 50 damn dollars, I cannot handle another cent.

I hope they do not use that name though. Wii as a dick joke got so annoying three minutes after they announced the name, I shudder to think how the world would react to "Feel Super Mario".

I have no idea why controllers are overpriced. They also usually don't include rechargable batteries. :/

With Cafe, there is a freaking high quality touch screen on the controller! I have a feeling they are going to be quite expensive. ;/

Only way I could see it not sucking so much is if (A) they include two touch screen controllers per console or (B) offer up non-touch screen controllers or allow for use of the Wii classic controller

The problem with the price on the Wii controllers was you were basically paying for two controllers to get the Remote/Nunchuck combo that a lot of games required. (Or at least the ones that interested me) Hopefully Nintendo will be a little more fair with their console's accessories this time around.
