Back with a vengeance. Updates are listed again on the front page, updated with everything since I've been gone (sorry about that). The game is still going strong and continues to be updates regularly.

Who knows? I don't think anyone...last we heard they might be working on a smart phone adaptation, but that's it so far.

Wow you're really into this. Good to see the updates. I kind of gave up on it after about a week of playing. It really wasn't my thing although it was nice to play something Shenmue after 10 years of nothing.

I have a feeling an English version will not surface for this.

Hmm, well Kiyuu on Shenmue Dojo has posted that Japanese players of Shenmue Gai were informed recently that the game will be ended on December 26.  That's too bad.  It didn't look like something I'd want to play, but it was cool that there was something new Shenmue-related.
