It did, to an extent. The title Screen has 'SEGA(tm)' and of course the end credits. Basically it's SEGA's IP and SEGA will probably see some profits from it... Just like Shenmue 3 and Bayonetta 2. But they are not against allowing the original creators to invest further in their work even if SEGA are not strictly interested in doing so, inhouse. Personally I think it's a pro, not a con and a very admirable thing for SEGA to do.
Though actually this may actually be a SEGA published game, we don't know the details.
