So before Sonic, Mighty and Ray... there was Sonic, Sonic and Sonic. Pretty weird stuff. I wonder if the hedgehogs are actually new characters or just noname recolors. I mean, they went as far as to make a title screen so its not like recolors were standins. Unless they were, and in that case that is a lot of work for a standin graphic.


Anyway, hoping this is legit and it gets dumped.

I see what they were trying to do lol. But glad they went their own way in the end.

Game was by Bubble Bobble creator, made it as far as location tests. Seems it might not be a prototype of SegaSonic the Hedgehog - despite the similarities!

Whoa I wonder what else Early Sonic years has we are missing?  This is fascinating.
The game itself doesn't sound too great, I can see why it didn't go far.  Although I guess it already looks nicer than Sonic Eraser as a Sonic puzzle game.

Quartermann was always on top of things back in the day... he was covering the development of the Playstation circa '92 as well.
