You could try opening up the console right?
In other news, I opened up my DS3 and found that one of the vibration motors has the cables cut off (weird?).
Don't tell me that everything is connected in series, so with the motors cut off every button stops working. That would be the most ass design ever, and would indeed explain the weak vibration feedback.
