If it ain't a White Japanese Saturn, then I say go for it! It's not going to do much more than sit around if the laser is shot... you could fix the laser but whats the fun in that?

Lets put a Dreamcast into a Master System shell and we can act like retro snooty gamers. 8-)

Turn it into a very large portable CD player.
Or some how turn it into a carrying case and were it like a backpack, like they did in typing of the dead 8-)

A backpack, complete with front keyboard and all.. Great costume!
A less awesome but more useful thing to do is convert into a fancy cd holder. You pop the lid and a tower of all your dreamcast games slide upwards fashionably..

I am really liking the Typing of the Dead costume idea.
I just bought a black suit last week, so perhaps I was on to the idea before I even knew about it!

Let's be fair.
You can make it a backpack
and
a Transformer.

Check out this Typing of the Dead costume tutorial:

Awesome job! However I don't see the brown backpack straps. It seems he cut holes into the suit (something I am not doing!) and had a metal harness.
I could easily do the same thing with 2 brown belts.
Also, it looks like the part on top is a massive yellow tube with a coil:
I could easily place tissues inside it as well :p

It looks like a huge battery.
There were some Duracell plushes that might work for that..
I'm loving this idea! Maybe we could all do it, then take pics and make a montage with all our members :D
