I see a lot of people who have played more games than it is healthy, I personally think 12 games a year is the perfect number, 1 for every month.

I don't think you can judge what it 'Healthy' or not by how many games someone plays. I play a shit-ton of games, but I also have a good career/job, and a very good social and family life as well as other hobbies.

I know SOUP has a huge list too, and he's gonna be a Mountie, from what I know those guys are the epitome of Truth, Justice and the Canadian way.

This year should be much busier. With my recovery speeding up, I'll be working full time again, and getting back into more physical training. I'll probably only get through 30 games this year.  Probably depends on how many RPGs I take on.

That is a strange conclusion. Most games are only a few minutes long, some have no ending at all.

What is up? Your gameplay seems to be minimal.

How many hours of gameplay do you clock a month. I haven't clocked anything this year and I think it was probably 10 hours in December.

Oh I play a lot, I just was counting games that I played from start to finish in 2010. Most of the time I'm replaying stages from games that I beat years ago, am continuing to play games that I've yet to beat (long RPGs) or play games that I don't think are ever really "beat" like racers, fighters and puzzlers as there are always new opponents to play.

Not sure of what I clock a month, but I usually play on the train so thats one hour a day. I usually play a half hour at home each night, jumping between games on the 360. The weekend I usually play a bit more, especially if it sucks outside or I have a new game. So... 10 hours a week on average, more if I have a new game that I'm hooked on.

Are you forgetting about most platformers, pretty much every fighting game ever, basically everything made before 1995 that is not an RPG?

But most people don't put those sorts of games on their 'I finished this game this year' list, and furthermore even though you can 'finish' a fighting game's arcade mode in minutes, you generally play it for far, far longer with friends. Moreso now online. Same goes for platformers and all the rest.

That is replay value you are talking about. Seeing the credits in a game is beating it.

Reaching the credits is a pretty good guideline.

I understand that, but it sounded like you were implying that we only play a given game for minutes, when really we would be playing it for hours.

Anyway, stop playing more than one game a month.

BFBC2
COD BO
Infamous
Modnation Racers
Halo Reach

AC Brotherhood
Splinter Cell Conviction
Alan Wake
RDR
Split Second
Halo ODST
SASAR

But there are games you can't "beat" like The Sims and other simulation games.
