One of the frustrating things about being a Sega Gamer is that Sega make a lot of games that they dont update regularly or not at all. Many of these titles that sega produced or were made via a second party connection also tend to have endings that is clearly unresolved, indictating that a sequel was on the way but forwhatever reason never happened.
The most famous of these is of course SHENMUE 2. But whether we will find out in our lifetime is another thing but here are my top three of unresolved endings that may or hasn't been resolved..
VANQUISH to me was a brilliant game but the ending was also unresolved because effectivly the hero,lost and the bad guy eludes to another phase to his evil scheme. And it doesn't look like were getting a sequel anytime soon or ever.
ETERNAL CHAMPIONS:CHALLENGE FROM THE DARK SIDE. This wil never be resolved of course but one of the secret endings which was meant to be the overall ending of the game reveals that the Dark Champion has his own group of Champion fighters to enter the tournament and further disrupt the timeline that the Eternal Champion is trying to amend.
HOTD:OVERKILL
Out of all the western re-imaginations of Sega games this was by far the best one as it kept the core gameplay but mixed it with its own style. Of course, the game ends on a joke cliffhanger but the real ending is at the end of the credits where papa ceaser reveals the motive for one of the characters in the game isn't dead after all.
Out of all these games listed HOTDOK may get a sequel but its taking its time if it is. Anyhow these are just some of the endings that come to mind for me. has anyone else got any other examples?
