Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary

I just got this game, and was wondering if anyone else has it.  Can you save your game?  Is there even a high scores list?  I know there are unlock able characters, do you have to continuously beat the game, fighting game style to unlock them?  Any help would be appreciated.

Ahh yes..a game that wasn't really owned by Sega...adopted by Sega..taken over by Sonic Team..and gets more love and appreciation from SOJ than SHENMUE VIRTUA FIGHTER or any other Sega made title that got them fame and fortune....with countless updates and anniversary tie ins...

I'm sorry that I can't actually answer your question Emmett but have you tried http://www.puyonexus.net/ ? They're the biggest (I believe?) English speaking Puyo fansite on the internet, perhaps someone might be able to answer your question over there.

Yeah. They're pretty active too, considering the franchise is dormant outside of Japan.

Which Puyo Puyo game did you get by the way Emmett, cause I couldn't tell based off of your post.

It's Nintendo DS 15th Anniversary Puyo Puyo. 

I've been collecting them.  I also have Super Puyo Puyo on Super Famicom, Puyo Puyo 2 Saturn, Puyo Puyo Sun, Saturn and just ordered the Gamecube version of Fever (couldn't find the Dreamcast one),

As for saving etc, is it purely a translation issue that you don't know how/if you can save? The site also has a translation guide which might de-mystify the game menus if that's the issue.

Thanks Mangey-man.  I thought I had figured out all the menus and stuff.  I had 5 years of Japanese, but it was20 years ago. I think the game is just different than I thought.  If there is a high scores list, I can't find it, and I'm not good enough to get on it.

Wow, seeing your collection, you must love Puyo-puyo very very much. Yeah, the dreamcast version is hard to find.
