You're a sound guy and nice person but you're taking being a fan of corp to new heights.

We've have a new Yakuza and Football Manager game ever year along with new Project Diva and even with them SEGA profits aren't that great . So out of that list you posted I can't see it making a major difference to profits, over than Sonic . SEGA needs to become more of a player in the console market again along with mobiles .. that is where the money is these days.

That's just unlikely to happen. Sharky sounds like he's content with Sega Games just selling niche titles(which still have the potential) to continue to underperform.

In order to compete among the likes of EA & ActivisionBlizzard, Sega would have to play it like 2004 and spend massive budgets on triple that will potentially flop. From the sounds of, they see that as too risky and thankfully will focus more on what's made them money: Mobile,PC & Arcade.

People think Triple A titles are a walk in the park.

In regarding risking it finacially, I'd rather SEGA do that with creating they're own better budgeted, lower priced,Niche home consumer product  when it would cost far less to develop for with HD mobile ports, Strong PC port output, massive Arcade port output, and heavily, higher budgeted Japanese 3rd party IP exclusives. People act like they know and can prove that nobody out there will buy a new SEGA hardware product. But where's the proof? The stasictics? The numbers? It doesn't exist, pure and simple.

I don't care what people here say or the tired old, cynical "Sega fails at hardware and would fail again" hyperbole that simply can't be proven. We've seen a decade worth of SEGA Corporation trying & FALLING short in trying to be an aggressive publisher. There's a buracracy of corruption among game journalism that you don't realize. The reason why Sega titles don't sell well, is because they get ZERO promotion from game journalists and game sites. Publishers BRIBE game sites to promote their titles and pay them to spread strong word of mouth with high scores. Garbage like Call of Duty is marketed this way. Yet, you ALL blame Sega.

I and many other older, and some younger loyal fans am frankly tired of these excuses. Its time for SEGA to start taking risks like Apple did in the mid 2000s. Putting out another home consumer product is one they should take.

Call us crazy, say Sega Interactive will fail, but that's exactly what Apple was told regarding iPhone.

SEGA, start taking risks. Listen to us, your older and most loyal and hardcore of fans. We want you to succeed and GROW as a company, because in the 90s you weren't able to. Staying small is why you couldn't stay in the race. Think big.

With SEGA Interactive,Ltd
You will show the world who and WHAT type of brand you really are.

Why do you keep on saying EA or Activsion ? . I like SEGA to be more of a focus on the Consoles and you don't need to be EA to be like that . 2K, Ubisoft, TemcoKoei can do it , SquarEnix so should SEGA.

SEGA already focus on the Mobile and Arcades and it's not really helping and SEGA PC output isn't that great or impressive and again it not helping much with the profits as SEGA also makes PC games ever year . Unlike so many said here the 'console' market is growing and there's millions and millions are users out there and SEGA needs to once again really make a effort on the consoles .

Some nice new Tech, less outsourcing and the likes of Sonic 25th and PSO II (built for the consoles) for PS4,XBox One PC would at least be a start and then a new IP and a sequel to Rally and Power Drift would be ace

Also, SEGA shouldn't be trying to be like EA, ubi or Activision. Yes, they make money, but they're completely hated by a lot of gamers for some of their antics. At least SEGA only have a handful of slip ups in comparison. Don't get me wrong, they've been bad, but at least it's only usually around a certain title and not every game like EA etc have. SEGA is one of the few companies where I don't think "where's the but" when they announce a game.

I don't agree they need new tech mind. There's plenty of great engines etc out there that can handle whatever they're trying to do without breaking the bank. Makes no sense to spend for something you can already achieve.

I disagree. They NEED new tech. They have better hardware design schematics than Sony and MS. People gush all over PS4 like its such a cutting edge piece of hardware. It's an underpowered piece of junk that's easily outperfomed by the cheapest of any mid range laptop.

SEGA's success and game development talent lays in their OWN hardware. The results are also there too with IP performances and sales, they perform BETTER on stand alone Sega hardware.

The hardware you're talking about is far more expensive then the majority of customers would be willing to pay.

PC's have always outclassed the tech inside the consoles for as long as I can remember . That's not the issue or the point . PS4 is selling like hotcakes and on course to be the best selling console ever and even the XBox One is on course to outsell the 360 infact both hardware and software sales are better than those of the 360 and PS3 in the same stage of their lifetime

There's a Huge market of gamers there and all on a standard closed system , that is something the PC or indeed even mobile phones offer

I have both a Tecra and an Ultrabook from Toshiba. Brought the refurbished 2011 Tecra in March 2015 for $250. Even though it only is capable of standard HD, it runs circles around AMD Jaguar.

I got a super fast Toshiba Ultrabook with Hyper Threading on a Core i5 Broadwell. It took runs circles around PS4.

SEGA can easily design their own ISA RISC Mircoprocessor from ARM, they don't need x86.

You're missing a fair few features there and that's already 250. And that's refurbished.

I know you want another SEGA console and deep down, I think most would agree it would be great. But, you have to think this through. The timing is just wrong right now.

You're missing the point . PC, Laptop and even Mobile aren't closed systems .. that's the trouble of PC development and so why you might have great spec's others will not . With the consoles a developer knows the specs and those spec will never change for the 5 years of the console life .

My Pentium II with 3DFX III run rings around the DC spec wise, even if most of the PC games didn't show it , same went for my Pentium IV Geforce IV over the XBox (again half the time id didn't come across) . Consoles have the easy of use and the close system and that's what makes them so family friendly and perfect games machines

SEGA don't have the money, the tech people or indeed the In-House support to make and support a console these days

Exactly. The timing just isn't right. One day in the future, perhaps things will warrant their return. But as of right now, no.

Exactly. The timing just isn't right. One day in the future, perhaps things will warrant their return. But as of right now, no.

MS paid AMD 1 and half billion dollars just to design and develope the XBone One CPU/GPU chipset that's with out the money to manufacture and promote a console , never mind the money needed to try and develop AAA games for that system .

Its funny EnternalHope says SEGA not got the money to compete with EA and the like. But not only wants SEGA not only to develop and manufacture its own console that will outclass a MS or SONY console  , but then find the money needed for the AAA games one needs for your console and better the AAA games that SONY and MS can offer
