Depends on the genre and the time frame of when the game came out. for example early 90's Sonic the hedgehog Series and  Super Mario Bros were the best platformers i thought. I don't think there is one greatest game of all time.

I guess the games that left the biggest impressions on me, My top list of the ones that gave me most memories and hype.

1. Sonic the hedgehog - Genesis
2. Super Mario Bros 3 - NES
3. Final Fantasy 7 - PS1
4. Kingdom Hearts - PS2
5. Grandia 2 - Dreamcast
6. Doom 1,2 - MS DOS
7. Halo Combat Evolved - XBOX

Yeah some games have had so many remakes and just known by everyone like Tetris, Pacman, Super Mario Bros. I don't consider them the best ever though.

Heavy Barrel for the NES has always been a non-SEGA favorite of mine. I love the co-op gameplay, the music, and the many guns.

No idea. Played so many games over the years that I couldn't possibly remember them all off the top of my head.

I really have a soft spot for early cowboy games like Sunset Riders and Gun.Smoke.

It all depends on your style with games. When I look at a video game the types that pop in my mind are of course NiGHTS, Sonic, Mario, Zelda, Fantasy Zone etc.... I like games where people are really creative and come up with things that you would never see in real life. That's what a great game to me is something that takes you away from the real world for a while.

So a game that I would consider the greatest of all time is,

Toe Jam & Earl Panic on Funkotron! (Thought I would of said NiGHTS huh  :P )

But Toe Jam and Earl had beautiful level design, great game-play, one of the best soundtracks I ever heard, and a great story.
