Sega SuperStars Tennis Update?
« on: August 30, 2010, 11:14:58 am »
I played the PS3 version of SST and didn't like it all that much, however the Wii version was considerably more fun, I was wondering if Sumo would consider a patch or an updated (Platinum Hits?) rerelease of the game with PSMove controls?

I would definitely buy the game for Move...

You can get the game for 5$ everywhere and nobody cares, so I don't think SEGA will make a new version about it only for Move support...

Why would they even consider this when they can just make a new one?

Nobody plays the game anyways(At least from what I heard, I even heard it sold well only because it was in a 360 bundle)

Well the main Tennis game for some reason wasn't good.

I primarily played the Wii version, most minigames were fun, several weren't. But Sumo dropped the Ball on SST asthetically they got it right, but the Virtua Tennis Gameplay feeling wasn't exactly their, I don't know why but it just didn't play as well as VT.

Sega Superstars Tennis was made with multiplayer in mind. It's like Mario Kart, the actual racing is awful because it's unbalanced. Same thing here but with tennis. This way "anyone can win". Ence the slippery gameplay.

Actually, Mario Kart is unbalanced. But it still is pretty likable and still easy to win with skill.

Mario Kart Wii does not feel like a sloppy version of Mario Kart Double Dash. :P

Pretty fucking easy to win, especially if you get hit by a blue shell right in front of the finish line. These are games that cannot be won based on skill alone. Mario Kart is an awful racing game. But that doesn't mean it won't make up with other things. Mario Kart 64 is still one of my fav games ever.

Btw, no it doesn't. It feels like a sloppy version of Mario Kart DS. Mario Kart Wii sucks hard compared to the rest of the series.

What does that mean :S?

Virtua Tennis has been built around multiplayer as well, Tennis is a 2 player game minimum.

I've barely every played Mario Kart (one time 5 years ago), so I don't know what you are talking about.

I said the gameplay doesn't feel like Virtua Tennis, and I don't mean cause every character can go into a super mode for a very short period. I mean in general.

Sega Superstars tennis is to Virtua Tennis what Mario Kart is to GRID.
Both arcade and multiplayer-oriented, but the first is more "sloppy" so that the skill gap between players isn't that noticeable.

"Sega Superstars Tennis was made with multiplayer in mind." was a bad choice of words. I meant it is a more casual game.

Mario Kart Wii is actually loved by many users, and people prefer it to the predecessors. (DOUBLE dash cough)

There is 1 thing wrong with being popular. Hackers. The more players, the more cheaters there are. Making Mario Kart Wii online sometimes a downer.
