Bayonetta is GOTY! [IGN UK]

For me, Bayonetta was more than GOTY, it was the game of this generation, its not perfect, it got some faults, but that didn't stop it from being the best action game I ever played.

Its good to see it get more recognition.  8-)

True story. Bayonetta was such an awesome game, and it only got better and better the more you progressed.

I bet they spent the majority of their time on Bayonetta fighing father Rodin. Also does IGN UK seem like their the one's with the good head on their shoulders, or is it just me?

Judging by the comments on that video link many people haven't played the game. "What no [insert first person shooter here]?! Teh Bayonetta has a girl main character! It can't be good!!!" I really wish FPS games weren't so popular. I keep forgetting Bayonetta came out this year. It was an amazing title.

all this comments just help me to understand why we don't have so much good and original games in this generation. I wonder if someone of that kids (yes, i'm quite convinced they are kids) has ever played to the old games Bayonetta looks at, i bet NO.

Ugh, and that is why most gamedevelopers suck today. They give in to these massive shallow retarted gamers.

SEGA is one of the  few companies who still haven't. Ah it's things like these make me feel proud as a SEGA fan.

HAving said that, I'm going to chime in again that there are still a lot of great and original games this generation from many developers and publishers.

Off the top of my head, Zeno Clash is one of the most unique and intersting games I've ever played (I strongly advise you guys check it out), Brutal Legend was a brilliant game in concept, art and the unique gameplay mix of action and RTS, and if Bayonetta is original, then surely something like Bioshock is too!
