If it came out now, by the time Gears 3 and Uncharted 3 are out, no one will give a shit about Binary Domain's unfinished demo.

Now if they wait until February or March, most people who play those two games a lot will already be uninterested in their single player campaigns and will mostly only care for the multiplayer. As far as I am aware, Binary Domain has no competitive online? If it is long enough, it might get people really excited after they are out of Gears and Uncharted.

Binary Domain is coming out in February, I think they would need a demo out before then.

And it's been confirmed that Binary Domain has an online co-op so it might have competitive online but the only details SEGA has said is it will not feature the same characters so it is seperate from the main storyline. I guess we'll find out a lot more at TGS.

What like with Vanquished ?. The best way to get interest in your game is to let people play it. Now would be good timing becasue come September the world will be talking of Gears  

Although I do think they need to have two demos out, personally if they can dominate Tokyo Game Show coverage (Which is entirely doable) they should release a demo soon after the event since I'm sure there is bound to be a lot of buzz, then closer to release, sometime like January, they ought to release another demo

This is game really made for the West, I don't see it dominating the TGS at all. Get a nice demo out and some great trailers on Marketplace , sort of like SEGA did for Kezan and the Yakuza series on the PS3

A demo for Vanquish came out early too. The timing was generally just wrong with the game, but a big reason it did not sell as good as it could have was because it had no multiplayer features. People expect this kind of stuff in games like that.

I am sure Anarchy Reigns will get an early demo too, and there is just absolutely no chance of that game becoming a good seller at all.

I am thinking it is unlikely that it will have competitive online multiplayer because they have not mentioned it yet. Even when it is a forced feature, this kind of thing always gets more people interested from the outset. I think this is fine though, rather have a great campaign with no online rather than a good campaign with an okay multiplayer feature with lame levels.

Lets hope he and SEGA does better than Yakuza series then on all counts if they want this to be a worldwide Hit and do well in the West . I thought Lenticular Sleeve Vanqished to be rather nice never helped with the games sales though and SEGA west marketing was up to it's usual poor standards

Man, that story trailer kick some major butt!

I wonder, though, while the game is clearly marked as a shooter, it gives me the impression that there will likely be a few free-roaming rest areas so to speak... But it's probably not going to happen.

Its surprising how different the first trailer and the following two have been. I'm liking the new locales we are seeing, though I doubt the virtual strip club would be as awesome as the strip club fight in Yakuza 3.

Here's hoping they do not overuse the bosses too much though, I've seen the white giant with the shiled in three different situations now.

Bayonetta and Vanquish did this a lot, I can see Binary Domain doing it.

Hopefully it is more like Bayonetta where the setting being changed gives the boss a completely different feel in every way, and not like how Vanquish just had two bosses at the same time or changed their color and just made them stronger.

Binary Domain is really looking just so awesome. I might need to get one of these to complete the experience:
