Yes the music was a better. But in the end Sonic 06 was so fucking broken there was no fun to be had. It was just frustrating.

Are we seriously having this conversation?

Why?

Both games suck. Just because probably most of us prefer the style/setting of 06 to Black Knight should really not effect much. Regardless of opinions, Sonic 06 has a larger impact on everything as it is part of the main series and will forever be seen as a glaring stain on the property and something SEGA as a whole will not be able to live down for potentially decades. Sonic and the Black Knight is just considered a joke that everyone will forget about in five years, if not before.

At least in Black Knight you did not have to kill God or play as Silver.

or play as Silver.

You CAN play as him in multiplayer.

'Have' is the key word.

Which is something people never give credit to Black Knight for. It brought back the concept of playing as other characters that actually had different abilities and could access different stuff.

SatBK always reads as "Sonic and the Burger King" to me, which would make for a great game.

Also, Sonic '06 is a God Tier game. It truly is amazing. <3

I wouldn't mind this happening again.

BK wasn't broken. A lot of people just complained about the repetitive gameplay.

Sonic and the Black Knight is NOT worse then Sonic 06. If you think this, you have lost your way. Sonic with a sword = bad ideas. Levels are designed shitty.
Ha ha, exactly.

Shitty level design can be overcome with practice and memorization.

Bad swordplay mechanics can't be.

Does not really matter, Sonic 06 has literally the worst physics in the series. That and the design is some of the worst by any major game developer in over 10 years. I mean when Tails throws the ring boxes they blend in with the other rings and if you lose your own the fake ones push yours around which is worsened by constant explosions that push them too and how no form of spinning hurts enemies or how Silver picks up things closest to him and throws them in the same order so they smash into each other or how Knuckles cannot jump off of platforms he is climbing when facing them or how randomly generated shrapnel can kill you fast in the high speed sections (high speed like diarrhea, HUR HUR) or how you kill God in a Sonic game or how Omega aims in the game he does not even have the lock on lazer what is so hard about drawing a line OH MY GOD.

Even insinuating any of this is better than an awkward/annoying spinoff is silly and almost hurtful considering how much of an impact Sonic 06 will continue to have on the franchise for years and years.

If you think Sonic 06 is in anyway a good game, you are not a smart person. I know from when I was into the game, I was just being a Sonic fanboy about it. If I can learn from my mistakes, anyone can.

lol dude I'm sorry if my opinion hurts you but I had more fun playing Sonic '06 than I did with Black Knight, sorry. And I realize it's like comparing getting kicked in the balls with getting kicked in the face but at least in Sonic '06 there was speed (and atmosphere) to be found. Black Knight didn't even provide you that. There were no SONIC STAGES in Black Knight. Game was like playing as a secondary character for the entire thing because Sonic never let go of the sword, which slowed him down every second.

Sonic '06 is certainly not a good game. If you want to read my review for it up on Gamefaqs I gave it a 4/10 score. You can also read my Black Knight review, where I scored the game with a 2/10. These are not good games, but any Sonic fan who believes that Black Knight's better than a Sonic game that actually features SOME traditional Sonic gameplay (as broken as it is) I have to seriously question their taste. The amount of "damage" either game did to the series is irrelevent. I base my opinions on games on how I felt playing them, not what they mean for a company that I have nothing to do with outside of a journalistic (and fan) capacity.

Well I'm glad you have learned from your mistakes....you should always form your own opinions on games, not just like/hate games on principle. And that's why I won't change my opinion on Black Knights vs. Sonic '06 just because one was a spinoff and one was a main entry. The main entry had redeeming qualities, (they were hidden under a lot of crap, but they were there) whereas Black Knight was a complete and total trainwreck that literally had me biting my Wiimote in frustration.

Oh, ShadowLegend stopped playing the game. He didn't even try to unlock the secrets (and reviewers praised the secrets as being some REALLY good stages)

lol dude I BEAT the game. I don't know what else you want from me but beating Last Mode and watching the end credits should be enough to form an opinion on it.

I think what nSG54 is trying to say is that one game is terrible due to it's broken and incomplete nature on the other hand one game which was obviously complete is composed of terrible design choices that make it unplayable.

Therefore you could be more sympathetic to 06, however 06 has 10 times more things wrong with it than Black Knight however it also has 20 times more content.

P.S. Little kids can master sword play really well
Also the Knight of the Wind theme was fantastic, the music was similar to Adventure 2 and I like that.
