What was it?! Doesn't matter if it was a 'big one' or little things, it can be many. Here are some of mine.
-One summer when I was a teenager, me and one of my best friends (still) spent the entire summer break from school togeather, either at his place or mine, it was around 2001/2002 and Phantasy Star Online had just come out. We spent the entire summer either going swimming, having BBQs, (sneeking alcohol) eating bacon (we had a thing for bacon) and playing on the Dreamcast all kinds of games but a LOT of PSO. It was truly a brilliant time for me.
-On the subject of games, I waited for months to get my hands on Shenmue it was probably my most anticipated game of all time, the night before it came out I could barely sleep and my mum promised to go into town and buy it for me (it was friday and I had school) I returned home from school that day (with the same friend) to find Shenmue waiting for me on my bed... We played all weekend. It was amazing.
-The last day of school, I had a pretty shit time in school I hated it. I wasn't bullied or anything like that I just felt stressed out, tired all the time and fell behind a lot, so when school was finally over, I remember getting home with the summer holidays ahead of me, throwing my school bag down and feeling completely free. It was amazing.
-Spending christmas with my grandmother, I was never really lead to believe in 'Santa' being real or anything like that but I still loved Christmas, we would always go on christmas eve to pick up my nan from her house and drive around looking at the christmas lights, then we would come back home. For some reason my nan made christmas feel far better. She got excited about it, or at least humoured me well lol. She made Christmas fun. I really miss my grandmother. =(
-Hanging out with friends, in general... I have lots of good memories of this.
-My girlfriend! She spends a lot of time in America, her family lives there so she is gone for months at a time. When she comes back and I meet her at the airport it's always a really great, exciting day.
That first day is so great, I like showing her around the house and garden, whats changed since shes been gone and stuff like that just makes me happy, it's like feeling the sun on your face for the first time in months. The next few months are brilliant too, even the boring things like food shopping are enjoyable when you have someone to go with.
