Like, the Japanese release has English subtitles? Or are you just referring to the subs in the original english releases? I couldn't find this anywhere.

Well I mean that Yakuzas 1 and 2 were both translated and released in the West, so they don't need to be translated again, those translations just need to be applied to the HD Collection. It's not like they need to re-translate the dialogue.

Oh, and just in case anyone was wondering, Sega won't notice any extra sales of Yakuza 3 or 4. They would have stopped selling those yonks ago.

Yeah that's what I don't get; you'd think Aaron Webber would kinda know that, too. If I tell 3 friends to go to Gamestop and buy Yakuza 4, is Gamestop going to send Sega a letter begging to order more copies? No, lol. The time for these games to make their marks sales-wise has long past.

It's somewhat pathetic that Sega is so mismanaged that their number one selling Japanese game, and current fan favorite game just doesn't come out in the USA.

Sega is a Japanese company. Why do they constantly run away from this fact? People would love them if they just embraced it. The world has an insatiable appetite for Japanese culture, demonstrated by Atlus' entire business model. Exploit it.

And why have they become so risk-averse? Sega used to take constant risks. Some paid off and some didn't, but that's why fans appreciated the things they created. I really feel like the company is just in ruins.

It also doesn't help that the senior producer Yas Noguchi has left sega as he was the only person to have even bothered bringing over yakuza 4 and dead souls to the west.

it doesn't make sense but sega is know to doing this sort of thing for the longest time.

Did he send this to Customer Support? If so, I'd take it with a grain of salt.

But this close to E3, I'm sure SEGA might have something in store for the Yakuza buffs.
