CompileHeart's Neptune = SEGAGAGA 2?

Neptune

That's the code name for Compile Heart's new project, which just got a teaser countdown site that will reach 0 on Friday. Famitsu reveals the game's full name to be "Choujigen Game Neptune."

Choujigen Game Neptune is a PS3 RPG that's set in the virtual world of "Game Gyoukai." That's Japanese for "Game Industry." Main character Neptune must stop the evil plot of Goddess Magicon.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the characters in Neptune, including Neptune himself, are game consoles. Also, Sega is partnering with Compile Heart for the sales side of the game.

So, we have Sega selling a game about a console named Neptune fighting the Goddess Magicon. Not only that, but the game will have appearances by Sega characters. The game will also have its own version of well-known game industry entities like Capcom, Gust and Nippon Ichi -- all presumably unofficial, of course.

And here's the best part. Apparently, the consoles can transform into bishojo. What this will be used for is unclear at present.

They also have a countdown.

Although I haven't played SEGAGAGA because of the amount of Japanese text in the game it sounds similar based on the description. And it looks like SEGA is publishing it or something.

Sega is co-developing it.

And yes, Sega characters will be there.

Bishōjo (美少女?, literally, "beautiful young girl", also spelled bishoujo)  is a Japanese term used to refer to young and pretty girls, usually below university age. Bishōjo is not listed as a word in the prominent Japanese dictionary Kōjien. A variant named biyōjo (美幼女?)  refers to a girl before the age of adolescence.

Would have been much better if the console were transformed into mech a la Virtual-on, but i think that this was already present in some form in SEGAGAGA...

anyway the project seems juicy 8-)

Only issue is that Segagagaga is awesome by concept but a horrible game overall. Not looking forward to it, especially considering it will not come here and is exclusive to PlayStation 3.

Well sometimes the concepts alone make a game good enough for it's target market.

I don't consider God of War a very good game. It's a pretty bland adventure game from a gameplay standpoint I think.. But still, the concept of murdering the Olympus and doing some epic shit is awesome and sells the game.
