Tomb raider 2013
« on: March 01, 2013, 12:45:01 am »
probably just as good and hypes like tomb raider 1 at its time. playing the game atm. and it has some resident evil and silent hull feeling. and damnit lara croft is really serious this time. she lloks anxious instead of the american arogance type of the older parts.
she actually show real self image where a woman is really affraid yet at the same time courageous. and allow me to say that she looks better the the tomb raider trilogy type of lara

the game is a variaty of all games u played in yo life. but ah well its squaresoft  i mean enix.
:)

So it took an American developer to remove the "American arrogance" qualities of a character created from a British developer? Cute.

It must also be fun playing a game that isn't released yet.

I don't see it as "American" arrogance, semmie. Lara Croft was a confident British lady that played for sport. At least, that's how she was in the first two games. In my opinion, the series went downhill with Tomb Raider's III and IV when they started placing a greater emphasis on action....

Still, I'm not sure how I feel about this new game. How many times can they reboot Lara Croft?

when i say american arogance dont feel offended. to be specific the certain type of holywood movies of back in the days such as commando  american ninja
the old lara croft ws a woman that felt to sure about herself and didnt cry of anxiety she was a woman who was a man in the hard of battle

but this one is a nrmal person. she cry shws herself hurt and tries to survive.
wird to say she is not lara croft. she is someone else more beautiful and also different from lara croft

but i never really liked lara croft cause of its arogance and her way of talking. and now i do like her
the only old lara i liked was the one on saturn

im playing the game at the moment and i can asure you that this game brings a new start from the tomb raider series
strange tho. when tomb raider 3 classic came out people basically said that it wouldnt last. but its still there lol
and there are actually firm fan bases and some horny motherfuckers who worshipped her breasts since the beginning of this series even tho it ws only a view polygons.

if u had bad experience wth aliens cm. then for sure man u gonna like this

Oh, I do find that kind of offensive, sir. Sorry, but I do. Arrogance is arrogance. I simply don't understand why you felt the need to bring nationality into it. On top of that, your comment was somewhat ironic, considering you often come off as arrogant in your posts concerning your SEGA fandom.

Back on topic though. I don't see the comparison to John Matrix of Commando. The man wasn't arrogant; he was experienced and determined. John didn't give a damn if he died, so long as he saved his daughter. How is that arrogant?

Perhaps Lara was a bit arrogant in her early form. She was a player. Lara raided tombs not for fame or fortune. She had both, thanks to her family's wealth and status. Lara did it for fun and, perhaps, curiosity. She challanged herself. Just so we're clear, this is the "old" Lara I'm referring too. The only one you supposedly liked. The one that starred in the PlayStation/Saturn/PC original. This is why I am confused, semmie.

Also, how are you playing this game that hasn't been released? Is there a playable demo I'm not aware of?

he he he i can feel A.J's recent, quite civilized review of shenmue (great review by the way) has left him with a lot of pent up swearing, that must soon be released .....semmie beware!!!

on topic, i've been a lover of the games from the start and own all copies still, as my other half is also a massive fan. This one from the reviews seems to take forward the tomb raider baton that uncharted had received after the recent tomb raider efforts and pushed it that much further.

I for one will be getting this day one, which is march 5th i believe, so i repeat the previous question raised by the right honorable mylifewithsega, how, semmie have you played it?

cooprey sorry i cant tell as it is not allowed on this forum and could get me banned
but let me just say that if you have played heavy rain. well the graphics are just as good or even better or slightly lesser.

anyways yes my sega fandom is hardcore to the bone.
but i play other games as well. how else can i compare right?
i enjoy all that is enjoyable. but truth be said is that i am on the side of sega

I haven't played a Tomb Raider in years since the Saturn. I'm tempting to purchase this game this month or next along with Injustice Gods Among US. Saw a couple of gameplay footage on Gamespot's E3 2012 Live and I'm pretty impressed. As long the controls aren't complicated.

@Semmie - Dude, seriously?! That response alone is enough to fuck you harder than a lifer left alone with a prostitue. Do you honestly think we're that thick?

@Cooprey - Thanks, bro. I really appreciate it. Yes, I've bottled up my frustration a bit. It has to come out and may *insert deity here* help whomever gets in my crosshair. As for Tomb Raider, I really haven't enjoyed a Tomb Raider game since the second. I tried playing Anniversary, but it kind of left me cold. Couldn't stand III or IV. Chronicles was....eh. I don't know. May give it a go.

@Crackdude - Dude, you're so getting a kudos. I'm still laughing. I've had to re-type this shit lots now.

@my life with sega:

man didnt know u were that mad bro. srry cant help u.
if u were here real life id probably give u a drink and tell u how much we look alike. meand u woulld be a dreamteam killing them peeps in the way. but unfortunate i cant gve u twizzleres combined with a heineken or buddweiser.

let me just say im not a nationalist i despise it. but there is a certain stereotype commonly known of each culture and land. which should not be generalised or stigmatised. cause we people are individuals.
like for instance dutch are greedy. belgians are more the type to be like yo i dont care just my biz.
its not righteous to say that. cause its a stamp. so i wont bow down. but i humbly give you that beer and tizzler and shake hands and kiss u on the cheek and say:
im sorry

it was better if i said. previous tomb raiders are suspiciously themed from the holywood theme like chracters we know from james bond wonder woman cat woman commando american ninja etc.

and now that this offtopic has gone back on.
i can assure you mylifewith sega with all the personal struggle you have with me. but concerning the game you will love it so much man:)

i know you will. i was so amazed how the tutorial was adapted in the oficial story and hw much qtc was included like in shenmue. and so nice how you expect to walk the level through and then suddenly because of a collapse ur somewhere else
also lara here torso and all are realistic. plus when she falls on the ground ull see dirt only on the place where she felt and so on. kinda sexy

the story starts somewhere a place you chose to find certin artifacts. but you chose the right place but with the wrong surprises. the whole game gives you surprises.

they are easier the controls. muuuuuuuch easier. but the game itself is harder the longer you play.
in the game there is a tutorial inside the storymode. and the learning curve is approximately a small 5minutes. you will learn how to put on  torch. how to push. how to jump and double jump via rocks.
when i say double jump dont think of prince of persia acrobatics.  its just one time realistic jump.

the game has something of uncharted. but you cant really compare it too precise. cause the details are too different

If you wanted to get on my good side, you'd make with some Jack and Coke, and a pack of Spirits or Dunhill....mmmmmm, Dunhill. I miss those. Also, stop doing what you're doing in regards to playing games aren't fucking out yet. That would be very cool of you.

Lara's attributes aren't all that unrealistic. I've seen plenty of models over the years capable of filling those cups with/without surgical "enhancement". In addition, have you actually seen movies like Commando, or American Ninja, or even James Bond? Narratively speaking, not one of the franchises you mentioned fit the Tomb Raider series. Instead, you neglected the most obvious film series; Indiana Jones. Carrying duel pistols though? Hong Kong action films come to mind, like John Woo flicks....

But Wonder Woman? Cat Woman? Seriously, semmie; CAT WOMAN?! Bite your tongue. Better yet, your fingers.

I just don't get it, semmie. I really don't.
