I really enjoyed the demo.
I didn't get to play as a Predator, but as said, playing as a Marine is really tense.
I ended up as an Alien for most of the matches I played. Dropping down from the ceiling and shanking a Predator from behind is pretty fun :D.
The wall climbing wasn't as smooth as I might like, but I'm sure I could get used to it.

Anyone else here got the game? I only just started today, went right into the ranked matches, but finding a match is like wading through mollasses. Is the game dead online already or something?

If anyone on here is interested in playing, lets organize a big group and have some fun!

I don't have it yet, I'm not sure Ill be able to afford it with some many games right now...

As for the game finding apparently its a bug and they are patching it I hear.

Well that's good news, since when you do get into a match, it's really awesome. Played as an Alien for the first time today, lots of fun.

I managed to get some luck and played 2 games of AVP just a while ago.

Really cool game actually, played one match as a Predator and one as a Marine.

Predator is cool, but I found that you depend very heavily on melee combat, there aren't a lot of ranged weapons that I found on the map. Their vision modes are useful, particulalry the Alien finding one, since those guys are sneaky buggers.

The marine feels really different, needing to remember to use Stimpacks, and also to block/melee etc. Vision is really limited, even with the flashlight, so you need to make good use of the motion tracker. Very frightening way to play, it's cool to see the motion tracker going crazy, spin around and have an Alien stalking you.

To finish one at extreme difficulty you need luck for sure.

I have this for PS3. Cost a whopping $20 brand new. Love every minute of it. Haven't tried multiplayer, but I beat all three campaigns. Great game. Leaps and bounds better than Colonial Marines.

Btw AJ, I heard there have been massive patches lately. Have you tested out the game to see how much they have... improved?

Oh, fuck no. Unless those patches can somehow rewrite the pedestrian narrative so that it doesn't anally rape established cannon, I want nothing more to do with it. Seriously, I can look beyond the dull graphics, poor audio and tired FPS mechanics....

But I cannot - I WILL not - look past that atrocious fucking narrative that begs for a Walter Hill/Gordon Carroll rewrite. Jesus, the ending pisses me beyond all belief. Oh, and Hicks? WHAT THE FUCK?! Seriously, what were they thinking?!
