Well after seeing a clip of SONIC BOOM...it may not be all that bad....

As for what Barry said...yes..its depressing to see how modern anime has gotten comapared to the masterpeices that they produced over the years and made japan the mark in animation...too bad the new genration can't continue that standard...

Animation is poor, and the plot is paper thin, but the SEGA reference overload is gold. I'd never say this is my favorite anime, at most it's along the lines of a weird Adult Swim cartoon.

I'd never consider a fully 3d animated show "anime" regardless of where it comes from. Your Adult Swim comparison is good.

I'd personally compare this show to something like early Reboot.

Japan's entertainment industry in general has been collapsing for decades, first films, than television and animation and now video games. It's funny though considering how Japan is still prime in multiple industry, but they really need a more youthful workforce to bring them back to the top in entertainment.

On the subject at hand, still have yet to watch it, suppose I'll watch it alongside Psycho Pass to kill my weekends.

Its made for a japanese audience...
2 The cruchyroll deal came way after i made that comment
3 there's more than one cartoon/anime sega related that's being made
4 Sonic boom compared to this..no real comparison.

So stop being a cleverdick by making a comment on something i said on a statement that came WAY before the crunchydeal was ever announced.Geez..

I didn't look at the dates and assumed that your post was made after the episode aired. Also, I didn't try to be a "cleverdick", no need to resort to insults. :|

Then don't jump to conclusions so quickly.

Yes it surely has. That's why i feel that Japan's industry in the media has seen its better days and won't be coming back for a long time. There needs to be a huge shake up before that happens.

I saw the last episode.

Kori will be pleased  :)

We need a "Gaijin 4 Koma-Sega Bits Edition" for this series because it could contain hype for all the Sega fans xD

Just finished watching the latest episode and I was most excited to see that the next episode will have Space Channel 5 featured in it.

Definitely a franchise that I feel got the cold shoulder even though it was amazing (I think E3 2000 sold me on the game). Another Dreamcast era game that fell off the map was Skies of Arcadia (Eternal Arcadia).

Was finally able to watch the first episode on Crunchy Roll. I thought it was pretty amusing. I don't think it's meant to be taken seriously. Also seems like it will be pretty educational to people who aren't familiar with SEGA's history (kids).

Vectorman should have had his own tv series for a long time now.

Unfortunately, I don't think we are going to see them in future episodes. Based on the cameos and current direction of the show it is definitely made for a Japanese audience. So they are probably only going to use references from popular titles release over there.

Although next week's episode features Space Channel 5 and that game didn't do very well at all. It barely broke 150,000 in total sales and some historic charts show it didn't even break 100,000.

Wasn't Seaman the top selling Dreamcast game (if you included software sales that came bundled with hardware)? Maybe that means they will feature Seaman in a future episode. No offense to Seaman fans, but I would be ok if he/it doesn't show up.

He's not technically owned by Sega..but he's kinda of a IP like MIKU is now. But i think that game was more popular with American fans so it may not feature ..even though the games sold big in japan..

Who does Seaman belong to? Yoot Saito?

I for some reason assumed that Sega owned Seaman until I dug around some more after your comment.

Totally fine with Sega not owning it.

Personally would love a Skies of Arcadia or PSO episode.
