Also i'm a huge halo fan and halo 5 guardians looks like another 343 studios game that doesnt feel like a halo game at all. I didnt play halo 4 but reliable people close to me told me that it never felt the same like bungie's games, so I ignored it. And now today the gameplay shown at the beginning for halo 5 did nothing for me either. Really sad because halo played a huge part in why i liked xbox so much. Also one of the most important features, couch co op is also removed. Something that played a huge part in why we love the franchise. It was basically the best part of the games for us. Its disturbing how more unappealing they keep making themselves to me.

Sorry if im being a debbie downer. I wanted to like this. Someone wanted me to get the One real bad, and I had been thinking about it a lot lately. But I think I may have to tell this person that he may want to replace it with a Ps4 instead. I think that'd suit him much better after seeing this conference.

I'd wait till we see what PS4 brings first. They've already said they're looking "sparse" this E3.

Also this game wasn't getting the attention it deserves. One of the few new in-house IPs by Microsoft and its a Rare game. Viva Pinata was awesome, I'm looking forward to this:

Sure thing. But I think its likely gonna be  the case that i'll end up telling him that. What dissapoints me is that it doesnt feel like there's a real competition. Micrososft needed a much much better showing with the situation right now.

Looks like I'm sitting EA out, which is a shame, I was hoping to hear more about Mirror's Edge: Catalyst. I can't find a working stream that also lets me see what's happening (the only stable one is the YouTube stream which defaults to 144p and freezes at anything higher). And no, it's not a net issue, everything else is working fine.

I don't have time to watch h the Microsoft E3 announcement.  Can someone explain to me how the XBOX ONE backwards compatibility works?  I saw a Facebook ad for it.

I'm using youtube and it's fine for me. I'll tell you what's happening if you like?

Before EA started, Tomb Raider was announced for Nov 10th on Xbox One...same day as Fallout 4 :/

The backwards compatibility will be available for previewers first, then all xbox one users later. You're 360 downloaded games will carry over from your account. If you put the game disk in, it will download it too.

It works for over 100 games already.

I'll be interested to see what 1st party games Sony will be showing.

People criticized MS a lot in that department, but I think they had a strong showing.

Not even a remake of FF7 is enough to get me to buy a PS4, let's hope Sony doesn't just rely on others to do the work for em.

Xbox is a strong contender with what they just showed off.

A guy in a giant zombie superhero costume just walked on doing muscle man poses...I didn't imagine that right?

Seriously though Xbox backwards compatibility just stabbed Sony in the heart.

Best part: we won't charge you to play games you already ow

To be honest, the Xbox One backwards compatibility thing is pretty much the only reason I have any kind of interest in the console now. I have so many 360 games and was incredibly disappointed that the One was launched with no BC at all.

Also i'm a huge halo fan and halo 5 guardians looks like another 343 studios game that doesnt feel like a halo game at all.

While I think the game overall looks pretty cool, I'll have to agree with this for the atmosphere and story. It almost feels like a totally different sci-fi franchise.
